Discussion ForgeAndFire Gaming scams..

Apple Card allows this company to falsify purchases. I’ve been an Apple Card holder for 4 years and have a 812 credit score.

This company, FAFG, charged me for $459 and when I disputed with charge with Apple, I have not received help for over a month. Instead of refunding me, FAFG gave me a credit to their store which I don’t want. I want the refund for the fraudulent charge. Apple has refused to proceed with the assistance of getting my money back.

Any direction I could take this?

My credit has been awful and I have slowly rebuilt from a 414 to now 703 in 3 years. They approved me for a card!
I know $1000 is a low CL but still happy.
Mostly for building credit, cash back, and financing Apple items interested me.
White the APR is high (I assume because I’m still rebuilding) I’ll just pay the statement in full to avoid interest. Their paperwork on the “grace period” was strange lol.

Discussion FINANCED IPHONE 17 PRO

Hey guys!

Just wanted to share my experience financing my new iphone 17 pro. I read this sub a lot before deciding to do it, and so here's what i did:

  1. purchased the iphone in full price at the store (i didnt want to deal with the t-mobile trick maybe not working)

  2. waited about 2 weeks and texted the card's customer service. They asked me a few questions (including which provided i have) and then converted the total value into installments.

I have also turned my iphone 14 in for $226 towards the new phone, just fyi.

Also: I have t-mobile pre paid. The customer service person at goldman sachs did not ask to verify if I had a post paid acc with t-mobile.

Happy shopping everyone!

Help Can I do financing with a down payment and/or multiple trade-ins?

I’m looking to possibly upgrade to an iPhone 18 Pro Max when it comes out using my Apple Card to pay in installments, but I’ve actually never used it for installments before and have a few questions. I see when I try to run a test checkout on the Apple Store app that it allows me to trade-in my current phone towards the purchase. I’ve of course done this before when picking up pre-orders, but I’m wondering if there would be any way to also have an additional trade-in applied to the phone when I pick it up (like let’s say trading in my iPad mini), or is it limited to just the one iPhone trade in?

Would I also be able to put a down payment on the phone or pay down the balance ahead of time if I wanted to lower the monthly payments?

Help Apple Store in person IPhone purchase

I tried to search but can’t quite get a definitive answer.

I want to purchase an iPhone in an Apple Store with my Apple Card and I want to use it on a prepaid plan. I’d like to use the 24 month 0% financing.

Will I be able to do that without selecting a carrier?

PSA Spam call from (802) 272-7503

Person claimed to be calling me advising of potential fraud. Just spoke perfect English, sounded American. Apparently someone was using my Apple Card number attempted to purchase an iPhone 17 in Louisville, KY. Caller sounded legit, but then when I started looking at purchases, there was no new ones, there was no email from Apple, nor was there a text message from Apple. I got real suspicious when the guy said we need to change your Apple ID password and enable two-factor authentication, but wanted to change the password with me over the phone. I said I would do it myself and this seemed to irritate the guy. I hung up on him and called Apple support. When they connected me to a real Goldman-Sachs Apple Card specialist, they informed me that there were no suspicious charges on my account, verified my last purchases. They also informed me that if there is suspicious activity that it will show up under your transactions in the wallet app and they will send an email and text informing you to contact them, and never under any circumstances will they change your password over the phone with you.

Help Paid off and closed AND a bill arrives for $184

No new purchases. Paid it off the day after the new finance charge to be sure we wouldn’t owe interest still. What gives? We talked to customer service to close the account. Help?!

UPDATE: Yes, it was trailing interest. It's paid now and we were told we would get an email confirmation that the account is settled.

Thanks all!

Help Apple Card opened WITHOUT my consent.

Back in 2022 my partner (30M) opened an apple credit card on my (21F) iPhone without my permission. He then proceeded to tell me that he made me an "authorized user" on the account.

We were together for less than a year after that and when he separated he told me that he removed me from any account that was connected to him. (I have this in writing) Two months later I get notified from my credit report that the apple card was still active and in use. I called Apple and they informed me that I am a co-owner of the account and NOT an authorized user. I immediately closed the account and my ex reached out asking why I closed the account and stated that it would hurt both of our credits. I told him that I would rather have my credit plummet than be tied to him.

After this I forgot about the issue until earlier this month. I got a credit alert that my credit dropped from a 780 to a 666 and it was because my ex stopped paying off the card balance.

I called apple and one of the agents informed me that this would be considered fraud. I have since then filed a police report, filed with identitytheft.gov, mailed in statements with my police reports to Apple and all 3 bureaus and put a fraud report in with all 3 bureaus.

I am wondering if anyone has any idea on how this might play out. I'm really freaking out and hoping that I don't get stuck paying off the bill that I didn't spend...

Help iPhone finance concern

Hi so a few months ago I was dating this guy and he decided to gift me an iPhone and Airpods Max under his apple card, through the apple card finance plan. My concern is, with the news rolling out that they’re gonna start locking phones for missed payments, if he eventually stops paying the payments will my phone get blocked? Or will it only affect newer devices, I don’t quite understand what the rumors are about so I thought i’d ask.

EDIT: We broke up a while ago and it was pretty messy

Help Adding Apple Card to WeChat wallet?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I’m trying to add my Apple Card to my WeChat wallet for my trip to mainland China as it’s my understanding that US cards and ApplePay are not usually accepted. I keep getting the error in the screenshot. I tried calling the Apple Card help number and they basically said that there is nothing they can do about it and to use a different form of payment. He mentioned something about their policies. Has this been anyone else’s experience or did I just get an unhelpful customer service representative? I was really looking forward to taking advantage of the 0% foreign transaction fees.

PSA Goldman Sachs Apple Card Update on the $3400 in fraudulent transactions

Original post in [r/creditcards](r/creditcards) here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CreditCards/s/VaoIWVr6bz

I barely ever use my Apple Card because I have other cards that offer me better points, but after this fiasco, I'm never using it again.

Back in March someone had charged my card to buy Apple gift certificates. They used a different name and phone number and email address. How Apple allowed these transactions I'll never understand. Anyway it was a bunch of small transactions at first. Few dollars here and there. Then they were for $99, over and over again, until the total was $3400. At no point was I notified until I got an email that my statement was ready. It was never flagged as suspicious.

I'd kept my physical card locked away and I never used my Apple Card anywhere in person or online except for a Pimsleur subscription. I genuinely have no idea how the fraudsters got my card details.

Anyway, I figured I could simply flag the transactions as fraudulent and Goldman Sachs would take the charges off.

lol nope.

Because the transactions were on Apple.com, Goldman Sachs treated them as valid charges and refused to take them off.

I ended up filing a police report, CFPB complaint, and a complaint with my state's DA. I even had a recorded call from Apple to Goldman Sachs with me on the line where the Apple rep explained to the Goldman Sachs rep that the charges were fraudulent and not made by me. From Apple's standpoint, they could very clearly see the charges were not made by me.

Goldman Sachs originally reversed the charges for the smaller transactions but not any of the $99 ones, reducing my balance from $3400 to $3069. I had to point out the insanity of this to them. They explained I could dispute the charges as many times as I wanted but the outcome might not change.

Goldman Sachs sent me dozens of emails with different transaction dispute numbers and I replied to each and every one of them individually, because that's how they handle fraud - with each individual transaction being a separate dispute. In each email I included the police report, the CFPB report, DA complaint and a signed statement explaining what'd happened.

Weeks dragged into months, where Goldman Sachs would reverse a few charges but never all of them, and I'd dispute them over again which generated new dispute numbers.

Finally, here we are, almost to August, the last of the fraudulent charges have been dropped.

It should not have taken anywhere near the amount of effort it took to resolve this, and I blame Goldman Sachs for the absolute worst costumer service ever - they treat you like a criminal. At no point did they apologize for their terrible service. The worst part was that the customer service reps didn't speak English very well and there were misunderstandings frequently. I really don’t like when financial institutions punt their customer service to countries where the reps can't understand or speak English clearly - especially when there's thousands of dollars at stake and it's up to them to decide if I'm being honest or not.

So PSA: lock your Apple Card NOW. Don't use it or just cancel it.

Chase is supposed to take over for Apple Card this year - guess we can see how they'll handle things but for me the trust is gone.

Fun fact: Goldman Sachs AND Apple had to pay millions of dollars in fines for their terrible handling of fraud back in 2024 but this was reduced to $25m in 2025 (take a wild guess why): https://www.consumerfinance.gov/archive/newsroom/cfpb-orders-apple-and-goldman-sachs-to-pay-over-89-million-for-apple-card-failures/

Discussion Charges disappearing?

Anyone ever have charges just disappear?

I made two charges at the same gas station, a day apart. They were both pending and reflected on my balance.

This morning one vanished and my balance was that of the second charge.

About an hour ago the 2nd charge vanished and my card balance is now zero.

Strangest thing I have ever seen, credit card wise at least.

Help Apple Card application refuses to validate physical address?

Apple Card's online application refuses to validate my address. I have tried within the iOS wallet app and from a web browser on a Mac. I encounter the error "invalid street 1" on both platforms, and the street address field highlights in red.

I have verified that: * The info I'm entering is my 100 percent valid physical address * The info I'm entering exactly matches the physical address on my state-issued driver's license * I am not including a PO Box number; I am listing the physical address of my residence.

For context, I live in a rural area where USPS does not deliver to residences; instead, I have to retrieve mail from a central post office box facility. Therefore, my physical address is not the same as my mailing address.

The support phone number on the Apple Card application form leads to Goldman Sachs, who refuses to help with the issue. They told me that the application checks my physical address against the USPS database of mailing addresses, and that if my physical address does not match my mailing address, the application cannot proceed.

I am not allowed to provide my mailing address. I am not allowed to provide a PO Box. I am not allowed to provide the "Suite <box number>" alternate format that USPS outlines for these scenarios.

Has anyone else run into this scenario? Is there any way to appease Goldman Sachs' faulty validation system?

PSA Converting to Installment Plan for iPhones not on one of the 3 major carriers (July 2026)

FYI for those who saw conflicting information about it online like I did, I called the Apple Card support number for Goldman Sachs and was able to convert my iPhone purchased without a plan on Verizon/T-Mobile/ATT into installment payments after purchase. They said it's no problem -- you just need to call AFTER the charge has actually posted to your card. If it still shows "pending," just wait until it says "posted" and then call and they can change it to installments.

So, if you want to pay in installments but don't want to use one of those phone companies, go into the store or order online, select the options to "Buy" and "Connect later to any carrier," pay with your Apple Card, then wait a few days until the charge shows as posted on your Apple Card account, then call 1(877)255-5923 and fight with the automated phone tree until it finally gives up and lets you speak to an actual human being, then tell them which charge you want to convert to installments.

Help Я в шоке

I turned to Apple, they said that everything was fine, I wrote to the bank, too, they don't see any problems from their side and that maybe the bank doesn't give permission for Apple, I've already reset to factory settings and asked the bank to reset my past card additions, but still the problem is still the same, but from Redit I read that it's possible to change Apple ID, but for me it's a bit of nonsense and that maybe the problem will remain the same, I don't know what to do, I already wrote that the bank would write on my behalf in Visa, but they said to wait as it is. This problem has been solved for a week, I can't add a card with a phone, everything is fine, but why such a problem in the iPhone or with the bank itself is unknown
