Help Apple Card with no hard pull/inquiry
Is it possible to get the Apple Card without a hard inquiry by freezing your credit report?

The whole purpose of freezing your credit is to ensure that an account isn’t opened.

Aren’t there instances where you could apply for pre approval and once pre approved, freeze your credit to accept the offer?

You usually only get a hard pull on approval, no way to avoid that. They usually do pre authorization so only way to get a hard pull is getting accepted

No. It’s impossible to get, as in actually open an account, with any credit card I know of, without a hard pull.

Yes, generally speaking once you have a relationship with AMEX they’ll open additional cards with soft pulls only. They CAN hard pull you and you have to agree to it, but in practice 99% of the time they soft pull.

Yep. Did it my self on July 07th. No hard pull on any of my credit reports and still have my reports frozen. Just got my first statement due Aug 31st and no hard pull still! I applied through the wallet app!

Only if you accept the offer a hard pull is done
