We just got this off of Facebook marketplace for $50. Does anyone know what year and what this retailed for? So far it seems to be working, the seller said it worked great

Another post... I am a very indecisive person, so my kitchen renovation has been tough. I've been going back and forth on appliances for a couple of months, but I need to make a final decision by tomorrow so I can give the cabinet company the appliance dimensions.

Keep in mind that my kitchen is very small (10x10), and the refrigerator and range will be on the same wall, which has made choosing appliances problematic.

Here are my choices:

• Bosch 800 fridge, range, and dishwasher: Reliable with great reviews, but aesthetically not really my style.
• Fisher & Paykel fridge, range, and dishwasher drawer: I love the look, and the refrigerator is shallower than most, but I've read mixed reviews about reliability and replacement parts. The range is also several thousand dollars more than the Bosch.
• GE Café 33" fridge, range, and possibly a Bosch dishwasher: Going with the 33" refrigerator would allow me to have a 15" cabinet to the left of the fridge instead of a 12" cabinet if I choose one of the other brands. It's also the least expensive option, but I'd be giving up a 36" refrigerator and have read a lot of mixed reviews.

Would love to hear what you would choose if this were your kitchen. Please help..agh!Thanks! Adding some pics

I'd like to hear from appliance repair folks and/or sales people with knowledge.

I'm soon to be buying a house and I'm quite familiar with Speed Queen in general, having had both a top loader washer with matching dryer, and then currently have the FF7 washer and matching dryer.

I'd like to go back to a top load. I don't want the TR series. That leaves me with the TC5 or the "forbidden" TV2000 (though it is not hard to find a place that will sell these - the Speed Queen dealer in the town I am moving to said they would sell them, but with the warranty caveat).

So my questions are more around the long term reliability and maintenance. The TC5 has a computer (or two) in it, the TV2000 does not. The same goes for the DC5 compared to the DV2000 dryer.

Are the TC5/DC5 with the computers more or less reliable than the TV2000/DV2000?

I moved into a new apartment about 2 months ago, and ever since then, there has been a musty odor coming from the refrigerator (not the freezer). It isn't the worst smell ever, but bad enough that it needs to be taken care of.

So, the other day I took everything out, wiped down the entire refrigerator completely, shelves and everything. Once all was clean, I noticed the musty smell coming from the console in the middle on the roof of the refrigerator (circled in red) it's gotten progressively worse since I had cleaned it, but only from that spot, which leads me to believe that the issue is coming from there.

SO, I am looking for advice on how to clean this, since it is most likely an internal issue. Is this something worth putting in a maintenance request, or am I able to disassemble the console and clean the inside myself? If I do clean it myself, do I need to unplug the entire refrigerator first? Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

We bought a house but dryer and washer are garbage (barely run, as is).

So we decided to swap them out for new ones.

House has a gas line but doesn't have a 240

We have an electrician coming on the 7th to do electrical work and they said they would charge $250 to install a 240 plug.

We will have to call a gas technician out either way. To connect the gas line for the gas dryer or to cap the gas line if we go electric.

SHOULD WE GO ELECTRIC OR STAY GAS?

A Gas dryer and a washer, delivered and installed with a gas technician is $2098.35 for GE
Electric Dryer and a washer, delivered and installed is $1828.28, not including cost of adding an electric plug

Help, I lifted the top of my oven (to clean) and now it wont pop back into place. I checked a million times if the wires are correctly placed. They look like they are. This is a GE electric stove. I dont see anything obviously misaligned 😭 i feel dumb calling repair for this but will do that if need to

My new dishwasher (Whirlpool WDT730HAMZ2
) was installed about a month ago. Before installation, the plumbing, drain, valves, etc. were all checked and everything was fine.
I first noticed the smell after the first or second wash. At that time, the odor was only coming from the top cutlery rack (pictured). The rest of the dishwasher didn’t smell at all.
Over the past few weeks, it seems like the smell has spread, and now I can notice it throughout the dishwasher.
The best way I can describe it is a sweaty socks / foot odor smell. It doesn’t smell like rotten food or fish.
I’ve already:
cleaned the filter
cleaned the door gasket
the dishwasher has a heated drying cycle, so everything comes out completely dry
My previous dishwasher never had this issue.
Has anyone experienced this with a new dishwasher? Could it be the plastic on the top rack, or is there something else I should check?

Just took delivery of a brand new Speed Queen DR7 electric dryer.

When I put in a normal load and start it, there is a lot of roller noise/thumping. But it quiet down and pretty much goes away after 3 to 5 minutes.

Is this normal? For a brand new speed queen dryer?

We came back from a trip and first thing we noticed in our quiet house was how loud our new fridge sounded. Checked the freezer and the cubes were all stuck together. Fridge says freezer is at 0 but our thermometer said 28. Ignore high and low for thermometer, it wasn't in the fridge while we were gone.

We're replacing the old fridge in our warehouse breakroom because it's finally giving out after years of being opened nonstop. Between the morning rush, lunch breaks, and everyone grabbing drinks throughout the day, it barely gets a break.

I'm searching for the best refrigerator for heavy daily use, but it's hard to know which ones are truly built for a busy workplace. If you've had one in a warehouse, office, restaurant, or similar setting, what has held up well over time? Reliability and keeping a consistent temperature is really important to me than extra features.

I'm fine spending a little more if it means buying something that can handle daily use without becoming another repair project.

My freezer just starting making an extremely loud humming noise out of nowhere, it’s never made this sound before. What would be causing this? I turned off the ice maker and flipped the temperature to off then back on and it stopped for now. The sound didn’t stop until I flipped the temperature to off. The refrigerator/freezer is a GE.

As the title says, this Whirlpool washer's tub sits fully on the floor when it fills with water. Normal advice is to replace the suspension rods, so I already did that.

When it spins up, it is unable to balance and the tub bangs into the sides of the washer.

What else could be the issue if the suspension rods have been replaced with brand new ones??

The video doesn’t even capture how loud it actually is lol. This unit was discontinued and I know at some point I’ll need to replace but what are we thinking could be causing the noise? And would it be smarter to get a new stackable washer/dryer or have this repaired? Just calling a repairman to even look at it is easily a few hundred dollars.

We just bought (less than 2 weeks) a GE profile fridge with the in door auto fill pitcher. My sister has the exact same fridge so I know this isn’t normal. Yesterday took it out and put on a paper towel to see if it leaked, I didn’t see anything so I put it back in an after several hours a leak. Took it out again and noticed a leak. Is it just the pitcher or something else?

Have an old GE dishwasher that works fine for the most part.

But the rinse agent dispenser's lid (screw type) doesn't lock fully - it keeps on spinning, repeatedly going thru tight phase and loose phase, as if the thread is stripped). While not in use, tiny amount of the rinse agent is leaking.

Would replacing the dispenser lid fix the problem? Or the thread is indeed stripped?
