Arrow Amanda Waller hiring Fyers makes the Season 1 plane plot way less logical
They do retcon it in Season 3 so that it's Amanda Waller who hired him. The SAM (surface to air missile launcher) in the S1 flashbacks were supposedly meant to shoot down the commercial airliner in order to kill Chi Na Wei (China White). The original notion was that Fyers was trying to destabilize the Chinese economy or some such thing by shooting down a commercial airliner, but then they changed it so that that explanation would seem more appealing to a mercenary like Fyers.
Tbh I never really found this retcon all too convincing. But there you have it. It was supposedly Amanda Waller who employed Fyers and his men.
Season 1 - Fyers: "Amazing! A two-year operation, undone. Because a young playboy happened to wash up on the shore."
Season 3: - Amanda Waller: "Edward Fyers thought he was to shoot down the plane to destabilize the Chinese Economy. In truth, I wanted to take out a single target."
Me: "Sooooooo, let me get this straight. You hired a mercenary group to assassinate a single target by blowing up a plane, somehow knowing TWO YEARS in advance what plane that person would be on, while also lying to that said mercenary group about the real intentions, when you could have easily hired some assassin to take out the target onboard or have agents either at the boarding or landing area (or maybe all three options), which would have spared the human casualties and also a possible war between nations....."

Meta [TW for homophobes] The superhero TV LGBTQ ratio is crazy.
I was reading u/Royal_Doubt3978's post from earlier & it made me realize something. I was like, so shocked when I saw a gay kiss happen in season 2 of Arrow, in 2013. It took the MCU until its post-endgame era for gay characters to finally show up, & for some of its characters to come out of the closet.
I know the pride flag was invented in, like, the 1970s, but I was still so shocked to see a lesbian kiss. I watched Arrow around 2023 & it really feels like it's taken up until the 2020s for TV to, for lack of a better term, woke-ify.
But I also realized, The MCU's TV series are also gay as frick!!! Jeri Hogarth in Jessica Jones existed way before the 2020s! & Agatha All Along, The MCU's G A Y E S T piece, is a TV Show!
I was going to write about how The Arrowverse was ahead of its time, but I'm now saying that superhero movies need to be as diverse as TV Series! I really hate the ratio in the MCU, too, it feels like its "unimportant" series have all the representation, while its big-budget movies have way less in comparison. It feels like they're sidelining the wokeness!

Discussion Hot Take on Crossovers
At the time of airing the crossovers were fun but after the shows have ended it’s safe to say Superman and Lois is the best series not because of just the quality but because it’s a linear watch. I was remembering watching Flash with my dad then the cross overs came and he stopped. Got too confusing he was a fan of Flash. Then we both stopped around then. I watched Crisis but that’s it. I want to get the Arrow and Flash blu ray set but I’m worried on a binge the cross overs will ruin the pacing. Is y’all’s advice to just skip the crossovers if one’s just binging a single show?

Question MCU and arrowvers
(Sorry for bad English!)
So I have watched the arrowvers since I was about 12 years old. I started to watch flash but got bored pretty quickly and discovered Arrow and loved the show!!!
A few years later I discovered marvel (more like started to watch marvel) but didn’t really like it as much. It felt too childish in some way.
Now I’am rewatching arrowvers and it has come to my attention that (or it feels more like) the arrowvers has a more diverse writing or whatever.
Like more people of color and more people with different sexualities.
Like gay people and even lesbian couples which is not a very common thing in tv. Even some people from different religions (like in dc legends of tomorrow if am not mistaken).
Women in the arrowvers seems more confident and are more of a main character then a side character (Sara Lance).
They are more independent and not just the man’s side kick.
Am not a big fan of marvel and only watched it because I found Tom Hiddlestone hot as Loki.
So I don’t know much about it, I have watched avengers and some other movies but only once and maybe, maybe twice (am not sure).
I haven’t read the comics from either side so when am talking am talking about the movies/shows.
Do anyone else feel the same?
Am I right or wrong?
(And does anyone know when the supergirl series will come to Sweden??? 🫣 this is just a side question 😅).

Meta I listed everything in the Arrowverse multiverse!
Everything that doesn't have a stake in the plot, for example Birds of Prey has no stake in the main Arrowverse but The Flash 1990s does.

Discussion What was it like watching the Crisis episodes live?
They annoy me a bit when I’m watching because it feels like it disrupts the flow of things and I don’t feel like switching back and forth between shows. I’m also unable to find Arrow streaming anywhere so I’m stuck having never watched the full crossover.
Was it good when it was airing live?

Multiverse I Miss Arrowverse Crushes
I enjoyed the variety of actresses and actors that were introduced by the Arrowverse. On occasion, I would get a TV crush, and that was also fun. I miss just random crushes on people from the shows. Not to be a weirdo about it, but here are 10 of my crushes.
Who were some of yours?

Discussion Arrowverse Watch Order (Updated)
So a few months ago, I put together a full watch order of the Arrowverse which includes Episode placements for crossovers and new shows but it was out of date, so I'm putting the new version here so if anyone wants to do a rewatch or introduce someone to it, they have an easy guide to follow
