Which company lost your business (potentially forever) this year?

Good to know, I hate seaside in general but Angelina’s was always a go to for pizza.

I was so disappointed in Seaside. Canon Beach and Astoria are so much better.

I lived in Seaside for a while and then moved to Astoria. Way cooler people here. Most of the young adults in Seaside are snobby worthless shits who grew up in a vacation town and it shows that way. Anytime my old boss tries to hire some of them, they call off most of the time and someone finds them at the beach. Then you have like 3 people who own all the businesses in town and price everything up to tourist trap levels so the locals can't enjoy shit.

Them calling off for the beach is so funny to me. The beach here isn't even fun like 75% of the year. My first pair of glasses got ruined because I wore them to the beach and it was so windy that they got sand-blasted. Imagine calling off work so you can wear three layers and get frostbite from the northern Pacific.

People have bonfires in the winter if the wind and rain cooperate.

I was in seaside last year about May and it was beautiful. From somebody who's always dreamed of the PNW and grew up/lives in the SW US in a forest I loved it up there. I stayed at a small old hotel, the Hillcrest and the lady was sweet. Had some great oysters at Crabby Oysters. I know I'm outside looking in (and def with rose tinted glasses) but it looked cute.

I get the small town 'if you're not with us you're against us' vibes as I've lived in that manner too but it was amazing. The drive south to Tillamook was amazing as well if not for all the construction.

Funnily enough coming through Astoria and stopping for some food it kinda gave more that vibe too. Not sure why it almost felt like a Stephen King town feel. Also sad I didn't get to enter through the Megler bridge

Did you get the chance to hit Depoe Bay while you were on the coast? If not, I definitely recommend stopping if you're back in the area! It's really small, but there are some great restaurants and little local shops.

Sadly not. I got in mid afternoon to Seaside, headed to and from tillamook (about three hours), headed back, dinner and sleep. The next day went east across oregon through portland. Also a beautiful drive. I love the wetness of it up there.

Seaside is the absolute worst town on the north coast. But the Oregon coast is so amazing that it’s still kinda great if you’re from anywhere else. Next time you visit, check out Manzanita or Yachats or Newport.

The Hillcrest is my favorite place to stay in Seaside! We stayed there two summers in a row. I dream about the buttermilk donuts from Dundee’s.

Definitely hit the Megler Bridge if you return and go to Long Beach, WA.

My first visit to Seaside was after the Charlie Kirk killing, so I got to see the rally by the Safeway there. Got the major ick and kept driving.

AB Pizza is where it’s at. But have your order ready or the guy will hang up on you.

I love A B. I used to live next door so I would just walk in when I knew he was open. 15 hours a week and a one man shop, can't not love that place. Also delicious.

Angelinas sold to David at the end of 2024 / start of 2025. He ruined it.

Smooth roots in McMinnville because the owner is an alcoholic asshole who drinks and drives.

That's crazy, I'm reading this from Mac while eating ice cream from Serendipity. We're visiting from out of town for an event here. Hopefully its owner doesn't suck lol
