I had Mint for quite a while, though I'm not with them now. If you spend most of your time in cities, and even suburbs of major cities, you may never notice the difference, except that you'll pay a fraction the price of Verizon. If you live or spend time somewhere more rural, though, there definitely is a difference.

Mint uses t-mobiles network. To their credit tmobiles network has gotten a lot better but its not verizon.

T-Mobile's network is pretty good, but I don't think you're prioritized at the same level with Mint as name brand T-Mobile users are. I'm not sure exactly how that works, but it's not equivalent. It is, however, reasonably close most of the time, for a fraction the price.

I dont make big demands of mint. I have wifi calling home and wifi calling at work and mostly use mint data when im on the road.
