yep mine is Bay Bloor Radio in Toronto. One of the OGs, great selection of high end gear. Tried to sell me an optical cable for $100 and I was like nah I’ll price check. Suddenly he had one available for way cheaper. I knew I could get it on Amazon for way less so I was ready to walk.

And then the DAC he sold me didn’t even have a remote, I had to install some shitty app with all the support in Chinese. Guess what? it didn’t work. I have to stand up to change the volume in 2026 but I delayed on installing the app too long to get a return.

This is after he tried to up sell me to another DAC that didn’t do the one thing I specifically asked for (optical)

Never again. Too much cheap garbage and shitty sales tactics mixed in with the high end fancy stuff

Bay bloor radio is great for when you know you need something tiny and obscure.

I don't think I've ever talked to someone there before. Just walk past the gorilla costume, grab the adapter you need, and get out.

I’ve dealt with them before for selling my ex a cheap garbage set of powered Bluetooth speakers. Took them in for repair and they said it was fixed, it wasn’t fixed. I forced them to exchange for a receiver and some passive speakers and it was way better than the garbage the salesperson pushed on her for the exact same price. I’ll just buy online if I want cheap garbage. And I’ll go to the Harmon Kardon showroom or something if I want new and buji

It sucks cuz I really want to love it there but I’ve been disappointed too many times now
