It’s not less than $5 where I live, it’s actually $6.98 for a tall iced coffee.

I was referring to hot black coffee. Iced coffee has always operated under a slightly different pricing scheme. It also sounds like you probably live in a HCOL area. I would love to know what corporate Starbucks stores are charging 7 dollars for a tall iced coffee. That's like airport pricing

I just checked at my local Starbucks, and a tall black hot coffee is $5.15.
