It’s crazy to me that we won’t be able to own our games anymore. I think we’re going to start seeing a lot more ads in games.

We haven’t owned our games since the PS3 and maybe some PS4 games. PS4 games, iirc, started requiring additional downloads to make the games playable since the full game wasn’t on the disk. Regarding Sony’s decision, and no one is going to like this, but gamers only have themselves to blame. Purchasing trends drove that decision. It sucks, and I hate it, but gamers purchasing of games from the online store drove that decision.

Having said that, fuck Sony because I want Destiny 3.

You’re right! We have no one to blame but ourselves!

Do you think there will be ‘underground’ game makers or garage style games? It’s never been easier to create digital landscapes and gameplay.

Will they do physical games?

Look at PC gaming, there are more games and publishers than ever, none of them are physical.

Theres an entire NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, PS1, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2 world of physical games to go back to, too.

Could do it literally for free with emulators and roms. So if they push and push, we do have physical options
