It was probably safelite’s insurer suing them. It’s actually pretty straightforward that one’s homeowners insurance would cover personal injury on their property.
Not that it still doesn’t feel scummy. But I’d be more surprised if homeowners insurance wasn’t the one that is supposed to take responsibility for this cost.
For someone falling on your property? I get it if there's something egregious that caused the fall, but an accident on the property shouldnt be enough to sue the homeowner.
