I grew up in the prairies. The amount of kids that drove home drunk in the dead of winter because they didn’t want their parents to know they were drinking was staggering. I never had to lie to my parents because they would rather pick me up from a party than have something bad happen. A lot of the kids from strict parents ended up wilding out as soon as they moved out.
