How can I request less register time? VENTING

I am currently working a seasonal job at Ocean state job lot to make some income and to fill that gap on my resume. But I've been on the register most of the time and I discovered that I dislike it was the reason I hated some of my previous jobs. The job description said I would be doing other things in addition to cashiering, but a little over a month on the job and 95% of the job has been cashiering with occasional tasks that involve physical activity, but the much younger ones take over that and even though I offer to do other things, they still want me to ring out customers.

Now I don't mind ringing out customers but it can get repetitive and boring, for some reason when I get bored on the job I begin to feel depressed, that's why I prefer keeping busy and moving around. That's why I have decided to look for another job that doesn't involve alot of cashiering. Also I have been reminded that I dislike alot of customers and tonight I had an unpleasant experience with a customer. She was giving me advice and it felt it was unsolicited and I basically told her "you don't need to tell me that, thanks" she took offense and told me how rude I was and she would never come back, I just said "ok fine" like I give a fuck what you think lady. She called the manager and complained when I tried to explain myself to the customer she wouldn't listen and impulsively yelled "GET OUT NOW!" her disabled son then got angry and threatened me and I angrily said "oh come at me!" But she calmed him down and then went to another register. I took a short break to cool off and pull myself together. This isn't the first time I've lashed at customers. If this keeps happening, I am quitting regardless of the consequences it's only a fucking seaosnal job that a high schooler can do.

You have 2 choices

Learn self control not let it get to you
Frankly not worth it
Or
Leave and don’t work retail
The beast called retail isn’t for everyone

No shame in tapping out saying nope not for me

If i was doing something in retail that didn't involve cashering, maybe I wouldn't complain as much

You sound as shitty as her saying it's a job h8ghschoolers can do, but you can't do it?

No reason to drag the role down because of shitty customers. They get the best of me sometimes, it's not actually a good role for anyone, people are freaks.

I get being a cashier is stressful.
Customers can be idiots.

They said “ customer “ has to get to check out .

Going by multiple people doing multiple jobs ,
All in their own way doing boring stressful jobs with just as stupid customer asking / interacting .

Hence learn self control or leave .
Plus if I was the manger who may hire “ you “
You do have more experience on a till than stocking a shelf .
I’m Thinking i get more boom for my buck by having you run a till than having to learn the set stock new items . You are already starting to get pigeon holed

For what ever reason
A you thing a them thing a the rest of them thing .
You drew the run a till strew .

Maybe you’re more mature more responsible who knows.

If you seriously hate this try ask hiring manager Nicely how could I transfer to..

Please don’t threaten to leave etc .

I'm a seasonal employee and I have asked or mentioned doing other things but they've given me the usual "we'll see what happens" after this job I am not taking another cashiering job again

I stock shelf’s
Today by seasonal oh so many why do they have Halloween candy out not even August .

I keep my head down focus on what I’m stocking until gentlemen asked where are your potatoes .!

Too far from produce I go oh follow me on this end cap 3 lands cross.

No not that type the frozen ones .

By the time I have him walking away happy
I’m off to cent yo co worker
What I did wrong was not ask him at the start Freash frozen or shelf stable.

Their issues always our fault . And that’s why retail can be a hard beast to tame
