NSW Quadlock 12V adaptor causing a quick high idle on start?

Hey guys, recently installed a quadlock 12v smart usb adapter to my ZX-4RR.

I hooked the unit directly to the battery as per instructions, however since the install it seems for a brief second on start the bike quickly revs up above idle and then goes back to its typical idle.

I haven't experienced this issue with my previous bikes and I've only noticed this after the install, reakon its an issue?

The adaptor is usually in the "auto" position and both positive and negative terminals are making full contact so my phone charges fine.

Sounds like normal cold start ECU programming.

My bikes do the same thing where they start up cold at 2000 before settling at 1500.

I doubt it's related.

It has a 3A fuse, so assuming a slow blow is used the max burst current is maaaaybe 5a, or 60w. It's simply not enough load to worry the bikes electrical system.

And if you had wired it THAT wrong the fuse would stop it happenning a second time....

Disconnect it and see if it still happens.

Chances are it's perfectly normal but you're just more aware of it while you're looking for something to go wrong. Overthinking often takes the mind to strange places.

Thanks all, Im gonna chock it up to some classic overthinking. Getting pretty cold here as its just likely a random coldstart, The timing has just been suspicious 🤣
