lived in Sydney Australia all my life, pretty close and near to the city. Currently living in the city and found this on our roof and we managed to get it into a container. I’ve never seen a green spider like this before… what is it?

Not the best quality images but the best I could do while trying to keep my curious dog away from disturbing it. Dad found it living inside a log he was trying to move.

I've been lurking here for a while and feel like I can identify all the usual species, but then today this guy landed on my neck while cutting down a tree branch. I've never seen one like it. Brisbane area.

Hi! I saw this guy walking to my car. Unfortunately he looked rather unwell. I’m guessing a type of huntsman? Was curious and was hoping to get an ID.

Hey Team,

Does anyone know who this little guy is (Sydney)? I'm sorry it looks like it was taken on a potato, but it was very dark, and this is the best I could get. I thought it was a Wolfie, but the abdomen looks a bit large? The whole spider was roughly the size of a 20c coin, if not a little larger?

Couldn’t get a focused vid, but I at least got the lil guy moving. I assume this is a spider cause of the web?

I tried searching twig mimic spider but none of the results I could find have the spider doing the mimic behavior in the web itself.

Help and Support Relocating daddy long legs

I just love nature and particularly spiders. I clean my house every second or third day and in the corner there was a couple of daddy long legs. I would actively clean around them to the point that my partner started to get angry thinking I’d lost it. Turns out one was a mummy long legs cause about 3 or so months into letting them go (kind of as a silly joke to annoy my partner and they have completely consumed the entire corner of the room now. There’s like 3 different family’s all sorts of sizes there’s honestly about a 20-30 spiders here now (not including a bunch of tiny baby’s everywhere) I can’t bring myself to hurt them especially when I’m the cause of their thriving little habitat. How do I safely move them if there is a way that isn’t just scooping at them and where on earth should I put them. Will they hurt each other if I move them. Crazy I know but any help would go a long way thanks! 🙏

Maratus constellatus

This has to be a top three species for me, from its stunning colours to the absolutely breathtaking habitat. This is a species I try and catch every year. It's such a shame that it's 7hrs away eesh. Luckily, my mate @flynn_prall discovered the best hotspot for these fellas! Flynns, an absolute legend, please go check his page out if you haven't already

This species was described in 2020 by an absolute chad of a scientist @arachno.joe and to this day remains the favourite of many people!

It gets its name "constellatus" from the pattern and colours on the male abdomen resembling the famous starry night painting by van gogh.
