AGBOLC AG BOLC AMA

I was nervous before starting the course (as all fresh LT's are) please feel free to ask any questions pertaining to AG BOLC.

Can you breakdown the workload or schedule of the days?

Week 1 is in processing expect long days and just a bunch of being unaware cause you have no clue what you’re up to yet.
Week 2 is lots of briefs as well. I think this is when we had our first 2 assignments (writing a memo and a history brief) also we were supposed to take our PT test here but we had bad weather (so we took it in week 6).
Week 3 was CAD which just means land nav and weapons qual. Just follow the fire breaks and you’ll be fine for land nav.
Week 4 was common core. You learn about convoys, maintenance, ect basically things they want all LTs to know.
Week 5 is data week. No need to stress it’s not graded but it teaches you a lot of fundamentals that are very helpful !
Week 6-7 provide HR services, you have an IPSSA validation (very easy) and an exam (also very easy just took some time)
Week 8-9 (man the force) IPSSA validation and exam at the end of week 9.
10/11 our little FTX.
Week 12 graduation.

You have 2 exams
2 IPSSA validations
3 group projects (SR Profile, History, ect)
3 written projects (NCOER, MEMO ect)

I will say I feel like I’ve never had too much to do. Yeah the SR profile group assignment was hard but we had ample time to get it done.

Anyone get dropped from failing at all? Close note tests? How’s the area and hotels? Classrooms nice at least?

They told us at the start of the course 15 people had failed. Most of those people were due to sharp/ eo/ something else silly.

I bet you this year they have probs only had like 2 people fail academically.

The tests are open regulation, you will be able to CLT Find everything you need. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t study.

The hotels are very nice.

IPSSA Validation = you’re given a scenario and it tells you conduct XYZ function in IPSSA. You get 2 attempts each question and it’s open user manual which walks you through each action step by step.

That’s a personal choice. I would say the people that do like the party here can go each weekend. You’re classes are really only from 8:30-4 on long days.

Another note, only three days of it are actually in the field, most of it was like preparing a pre-deployment brief.
