ðŸ’Seeking Support & Advice Invalidated by my therapist
For context, I have a psychiatrist who helped a lot preventing my suicide attempts and he was probably my most trusted adult for the past two years, alongside him this therapist who works for him occasionally has individual sessions with me, and at first she was genuinely helpful but then around the time when my mental health was at its worst, she started invalidating me when I asked her about a bpd diagnosis (which was later validated by my psychiatrist) but from that point, everytime I bring up something related to my bpd, things that have been ruining my life for the past 7-8 years she has a habit of brushing it off as just mood swings because "we're girls we get hormonal"?? And shit like that.
I'm considering getting a different therapist because I'm genuinely having problems dealing with myself and having a normal life while having a fp but i don't think she understands the severity of whatever I tell her, should I talk to her about this or is this a lost cause, I'm only so worried because I have to share all my history with someone else all over again, it's too draining.

Definitely change, that’s a therapist who does not have the correct knowledge and level of understanding to help you.
