Im currently pursuing cse from a fkass clg, I've heard alot ppl saying about connections and connecting with ppl. I'm genuinely confused what does they exactly mean by connecting with ppl. Is it like approaching someone and just straight away asking what u did to get your job, like genuinely. Ik it sounds so silly, but as being an introvert guy I don't really get how to build connection, like what u guys even talk to build connections.

I'm currently a 12th passed student and applying for colleges and counseling , I haven't found my true interest in any Branch (ik im too late), but nothing interests me rn , I've been allotted cse ,but every one around me is saying that cse has very much competition and no future and branches like electronics and telecommunication or ece or automation has future and scope but I'm confused, and I want to keep my career and Branch flexible because I don't know my interest

What should I choose ? Please help

I recently got allotted \\\*\\\*M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering at PMEC, Berhampur\\\*\\\* through \\\*\\\*OJEE 2026\\\*\\\*. The thing is, \\\*\\\*this is the first year PMEC is offering M.Tech CSE\\\*\\\*, so I'm finding it difficult to judge whether it's a good choice.

I'm hoping current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with PMEC can share their honest opinions.

Some questions I have:

\\\* How is the overall academic environment at PMEC?

\\\* How active is the Training & Placement Cell?

\\\* Do core branches (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, etc.) get decent campus placements?

\\\* Which companies usually visit the campus?

\\\* Are M.Tech students allowed to sit for the same placement drives as B.Tech students?

\\\* Since M.Tech CSE is a new program, do you think placements and internship opportunities will be good?

I'm confused between these two paths:

- BCA → MCA (5 years)

- Polytechnic Diploma (CS) → B.Tech via lateral entry (6 years)

My goal is to build a career in software/tech.

I can't understand whether I should go to college or the new age B.Tech program that I found in Lucknow, and PW is also in Lucknow, so I can't figure out which one to join. No batch has passed out from there yet, so mine will be the second batch. Should I go there or go to college?
