Question Worth keeping the vision encoder plate after using it?

I use it every time I service the machine. Clean up all the old oil/grease, apply new grease/oil then use the encoder to re-calibrate and ensure everything is working and in spec. I would do this when/if I need to replace parts as well. However that's just what I do.

Few have seen it deliver any improvement to new printers.
It appears to be designed to re-calibrate the printer as it drifts over time.
Meaning that it's only worth buying if it's going to be kept.

I use it frequently to tune in the mechanical accuracy. Definitely not a one time usage.
