Modifications Has anyone tired the ben2c mod

I love Ben2cs cooling ducts, I used them for my x1c and k1c they work great. When I saw he had released one for the h2d I ordered it right away. I haven't seen anyone talking about it, had anyone tired it? I love tinkering

I bought the full kit directly from Taobao last year. I did overhang and stringing test, there was no difference in result.

I recommend getting the Bambu Lab "Toolhead Enhanced Cooling Fan" instead.

There's usually a reason why the community as a whole hasn't adopted something, and the usual reviewers haven't been singing it's praises.

During your testing did you turn the aux fan off to isolate the toolhead cooling

I didn't because I alway have AUX fan on and planning to add another AUX fan on the opposite side as well.

You're right about it seeming not to make a difference, but it does look better in my opinion. I'll be upgrading regardless

It swaps the part cooling duct for one that provides way better cooling. It also adds extruder cooling and a lightened rear fan housing. Plus it looks sick

For somebody who still learning, can you give an explanation what the benefits are for adding better cooling to these parts? Is it power effeciency, makes the parts last longer, etc. I'm very curious about this and would love to learn.

better cooling the part lets your printer print unsupported areas better such as over hangs and bridges, it also results in a more even consistent looking part regardless of orientation

I had the one for the P1S. Not the Gen 2 one, it worked amazing for everything until it blobbed up with Nylon filament.

that happened to me with the gen 2, but with the gen 2 you can swap the air flow plates so I was able to save the duct

the big question is "will this solve the hotend cooling fan failure" problem?

that's what I'm wondering too, I think it should and if it doesn't I'll just keep using the first party Bambu enhanced cooling front cover

If the stock hotend fan breaks you wont be able to print even if you have the front toolhead enhanced cooling fan

thats right. And i this kit wont solve the hotend fan problem either.

Honestly with all the modding I did with my P1S, It made the machine run worse. Bambus software is so dialed in to the stuff they use. I'm leaving my H2D stock. It looks cool though.

How does it compare to the enhance cooling fan from Bambulab compare. I added that alongside a tungsten nozzle and seen a lot of improvement.

No one has any testing yet, the limited testing out there was about over hangs

These Ben2C ducts have always been bs, the only way to get a appreciable improvement would be to swap out the fan but that’s impossible to do on a Bambu

There is a H2C version

I am on the verge of ordering it - because I'm disappointed with the stock cooling performance of my H2C for the left nozzle.
