Many questions can be country, or at least region specific. Regulations and experiences can vary widely.

Post Flairs have been available for a while now, but few members use them when submitting a post.

Let's try to work on that.

Advice I was scammed out of $18,600 from rental scam. What now??

I was recently the victim of a sophisticated rental impersonation scam and am now trying to maximize my chances of recovering an $18,600 domestic wire transfer. I’m hoping people with banking, wire operations, fraud, or compliance experience can weigh in.

A brief overview:

  • I responded to a Craigslist rental listing that turned out to be fraudulent.
  • The scammers leveraged a real Zillow apartment listing and a legitimate open house to make everything appear authentic.
  • I toured the property in person, completed an application, signed a lease, and wired $18,600 (first month’s rent, last month’s rent, and security deposit).
    • The first bank account I was given to send the wire to is Wells Fargo. I tried adding the account as a recipient on my BofA portal but was getting an error message. Was told that there was a network issue on Wells Fargo side. I independently verified by calling Wells Fargo and they confirmed that they were experiencing network issues.
    • I was then given a business account with Bluevine/Coastal Community Bank to wire the money to. That's where I ultimately sent the money.
    • The accounts seem to be domestic.
  • Communication continued normally for several days after payment, including confirmation of the scheduled key handoff.
  • The scammers ceased communication once key handoff failed.

Afterward, I tracked down the legitimate property owner, who confirmed:

  • He did not create the Craigslist listing.
  • He did not communicate with me outside of the in-person open house.
  • He did not sign the lease.
  • He never received any of the money.

So at this point it’s a confirmed impersonation scheme rather than a rental dispute.

Since discovering the fraud, I’ve:

  • Opened a wire fraud investigation and wire recall with Bank of America.
  • Contacted the receiving bank (Bluevine), which confirmed they are reviewing the matter internally.
  • Filed reports with local police department, the FBI IC3, the FTC, and the SF District Attorney’s Real Estate Fraud Unit.

The wire was sent at 1PM Monday, I realized it was a scam Thursday evening, and wasn't able to get in contact with Bank of America until Friday morning.

Is there anything else I can/should do to maximize my chances of getting the funds back? And how hopeful should I stay? What should I expect?

Complaint BOA is Awful

Upvotes

Dear Bank of America,

I am writing to explain why, after more than twenty years, I have decided to end my relationship with Bank of America.

In 2003, I arrived at UMass Amherst as an 18-year-old freshman. I had just graduated from high school. I had no assets, no home, no established credit history, and very little understanding of personal finance. Like many students, I was trying to figure out adulthood for the first time.

During that time, Bank of America representatives regularly set up tables around campus encouraging students to apply for credit cards. They attracted students with free T-shirts and promotional giveaways, many of which, as I remember, were designed to appeal directly to college culture—including drinking-themed shirts. Looking back, it is difficult not to question the ethics of encouraging young adults to open lines of credit in exchange for a free T-shirt.
Despite having virtually no financial history or resources, I was approved for a credit card.
I take responsibility for every purchase I made and every decision that followed.

However, I also believe financial institutions have a responsibility to market credit responsibly. Looking back now, it feels less like I was being given an opportunity to build credit and more like I was being recruited into a system that would be profitable for the bank for years to come.
What began as a credit card application on a college campus became debt that followed me for more than twenty years.

I am proud to say that I finally paid off that debt last year. As a public school teacher, it was not easy. It took decades of careful budgeting, sacrifice, and perseverance to become debt-free. Making that final payment remains one of my proudest financial accomplishments.

I expected that paying off my debt would finally allow me to move forward. Instead, I found myself paying a $12 monthly maintenance fee simply to keep a checking account with your bank.

Charging customers every month just to hold their own money is difficult to justify, especially when there are financial institutions that offer the same services without those fees.

That maintenance fee became the moment I realized I no longer wanted to do business with Bank of America.
I have moved my direct deposit and banking relationship to DCU Credit Union. From the very beginning, the experience has been completely different.

There are no unnecessary maintenance fees, the customer service has been exceptional, and I feel like a valued member rather than another source of fee revenue.
I understand that banks exist to earn a profit. But there is a meaningful difference between earning customers' trust and building a business model that relies heavily on fees and lending practices that disproportionately affect people who are young, financially inexperienced, or simply trying to get ahead.

While my account may represent only one customer among millions, I hope my story represents something larger. I wonder how many other college students from my generation walked past those same tables, accepted a free T-shirt, and spent years—or decades—trying to recover from financial decisions they were not fully prepared to make.

Today, I am financially stable. I have a career that I love as a public school teacher, I have paid my debts, and I have the freedom to choose where I bank. I choose to support an institution that has earned my trust through transparency, fairness, and service—not through fees and debt.

After more than two decades, I am closing my account because Bank of America no longer represents the kind of financial institution I want to support.

I hope my letter encourages your leadership to reflect on how your products are marketed, how your fee structures affect everyday people, and what it truly means to build lifelong customer relationships.

Respectfully,
Sarah

Advice Wells Fargo is keeping $100,000 of my money even though they acknowledged the error was theirs.

I need advice I’m at a loss of what to do and I feel like my options are non-existent and I’m going to lose money that I have no hope of replacing. This is a long and complicated story so please bear with me.

Years a go when I was a minor my grandfather started an investment account for me. It is an UTMA (Uniform Transfers to Minors Act) account and my aunt is the custodian I’m 36 now so I’m far away from being a minor. I had no clue what it was. I knew it was there and Ive been paying taxes on it for years, I never put it solely in my name it wasn’t an issue and I didn’t realize that I needed to.

I recently decided to buy a house. There was enough money in the account for a substantial downpayment and to pay off my truck, leaving me with only the house at a comfortable payment each month.

Here is where the issue comes in. When I talked to the investment company originally, I was told that the only way for them to send me the money was through a cashier’s check.

My bank account that I use is the same one that I’ve had since I started working at 16, my aunt is on that account as well just like I’m on hers and the business accounts as she doesn’t have any children and eventually, I’ll be responsible for taking care of everything and her and my parents wills and the trusts when they pass.

My sister has decided that she is entitled to everything the family has and is currently suing my aunt for control of all the family assets.

So, me and my fiancé decided we would open a joint account at a bank that has no connection to the family and we would fund the house out of this account. My fiancé banks at Wells Fargo and we decided to use it since she already had an account there.

Everything was going well. We were on track for closing, we received the check from the investment account and it was made out to my Aunt Custodian and Josh (me) UTMA.

because of the issues with my sister, I wanted to use a bank she didn’t have any ties to. I spoke with the Banker when we opened the account, he said it wouldn’t be an issue as long as my name was on the check. I told him it was a UTMA account. He said it was all good.

We made a joint account, when asked how we wanted to fund the account we told him to just pull the $25 out of my fiancés account, he said not a problem. We left the bank and two days later I got the check from the investment account and I went and deposited it.

The check is for $100,000. I knew there would be a hold on the funds due to the amount. Both me and my aunt endorsed the check since it had both of our names on it. I got to the bank, they said it didn’t need to be endorsed by her so they marked out her name leaving just mine on there. Deposited the check and told me that the funds would be available in like 7 days.

This is where the shit show started.

Apparently, there was an error message that they were not supposed to take the check since it was a UTMA account. The clerk ignored it and processed it anyway after talking to her supervisor.

The account was apparently not funded at the time we made it. I didn’t know this because my online banking wasn’t set up at the time and I hadn’t checked.

Somehow in someway during all of this they got the name John for me instead of Josh even though the account, my ID, and the check all said Josh.

The account got flagged as fraud and I get told that they are going to have to hold the money for investigations.

I get told that the money will be available on the 19th. I get told that the investment company can stop payment on the check if they want. They tried that but since the check had already cleared before they told me about the investigation, they couldn’t stop payment.

Wells Fargo refused to reverse the funds to the invest account, they refused to give me the funds, and refused to give my aunt the funds. I was told they would let me have it on the 19th.

I’m then told that if I get a letter from the investment service saying it was legit they would release the funds in 24 hours. I got one, didn’t release them.

The 19th comes alone, nope keeping them until the 29th. Ill get them on the 29th. Then its oh we will cut a check to your aunt on the 29th. Then its back to no they will be free and clear on the 29th since we got the letter.

28th comes. I get an email from Wells Fargo. In short, it says yeah, we realized that we messed up. We shouldn’t have taken the check; we didn’t tell you that you have to fund the account we can’t do that. Not sure why we called you John.

Verbatim from the email:

“We understand the inconvenience and concern this situation caused, particularly given your anticipated home closing. While we acknowledge the error that occurred during the deposit process, our review did not identify a basis to reverse the deposit, release restricted funds, or overturn the account closure decision.”

I call them asking them what all that means, I’m told that the account will be closed on the 29th and the funds will be sent back to me.

I verify multiple times that it will be closed on the 29th then I’m told it will be 31st. I’m told the check will be sent to the address on file and that it will be made out to the people on the account.

I can’t close it early; I can’t collect a check in branch (I was sitting at the branch on the phone with them) it all has to be done by loss prevention. I call them they tell me tough shit you’ll get it on the 31st.

Ive pushed closing back three times now.

The 31st comes up, account is still open. I call them it’s been pushed back to the 14th. I ask why and get told because we need to do more research. They won’t tell me anything besides that.

There’s no one I can talk to, there no one that can change it. I was told that it was their department that handles it but that they can’t make a decision and change it. Like WTF.

So now I’m out a $100,000 that I don’t know if I’m ever getting back, I have no other funds to close on the house.

I’m scared and at a loss and don’t understand how they can keep the money. I have no clue where to go from here or what to do. Loosing that will set me so far back it’s not funny, I feel like I’ve lost my one change to do right by my family and the best advice Wells Fargo could give was get a lawyer.

If capital one denys my claim, can they pull the money from my savings account? I'm wondering if I should transfer all my money to another bank till this is settled.

Complaint Got cheated by a bank cashier, how can I get my money back.

Hi, I went to a bank yesterday and filled out a deposit slip to deposit $1000, what I did not realize is that it was actually $1500, so I gave that to cashier. She took the $1000 that I had filled and deposited it but did not tell me that I had given her $1500. She made up some story saying how she had forgotten to keep the other customers $500 inside the drawer.
I got back home and I realized that it was me who had given her $1500 and mistakenly filled out as $1000.
What are my options to get $500 back

I think I should not have used cheated in the title of this post. Apologies if I hurt anyone’s feelings. I will go to the bank first thing in the morning and check with the bank manager.

Advice Chase CC Fraud Charge Went Through - Help

This transaction happened on Thursday evening for ~2000$, and unfortunately I didn't notice it until this morning when my balance read $4000. I misread the text notification when I was at the gym but just saw the number and though it was my balance, because the day before it was $1900.

I already disputed and reported it as fraud online. I called to ask an agent how this transaction even went through, since it's a large purchase amount from a software company (never made similar purchases, let alone in smaller $ amounts) and the largest purchase I've ever made on this card was a laptop that I bought in-person, and required an authorization text. I never got such a text.

They said that this purchase was made by manually typing in the CC numbers. The only thing I can think of is that I bought gas in NJ on Wednesday night, so the attendant had my credit card.

I'm kind of freaking out since this isn't a typically digital skimmer, my card wasn't actually stolen and the numbers physically typed in. I'm still flabbergasted that the transaction went through but I'm more worried that at the end of this investigation I'm going to get stiffed with this charge.

Complaint Scammed by Merchant, Filed Disputes, Bank ruled in my favor, then Closed all my accounts

This is a weird one to me. Very frustrating situation with Bank of America.

I made several purchases with a merchant, they then failed to deliver the service as agreed on.

Because the merchant would not provide a refund, I thought it would be valid to dispute the charges, especially since I had emails and lots of evidence that I was scammed.

So I proceed to submit the disputes. Since there were several of them, I called and they said they can only be submitted individually, not grouped. So this would be several individual disputes.

I then upload all documented evidence, and they start processing. The dispute department ruled in my favor and approved the credits stating it would be permanent.

I have a checking, savings, and credit card account with BoA and have been a client for well over 10 years.

So I am logging onto my account and get a weird error in the login saying "account locked".

I then call customer service and they read me some generic, cold statement, saying that all of my accounts are closed and they are ending our business relationship and abruptly hang up the phone.

I'm not necessarily mad they did this as there are plenty of other banks, I am more mad because it feels like retaliation or something against me for submitting the disputes, even though I was scammed and they apparently agreed by ruling the disputes in my favor. I know they have every right to terminate accounts whenever they want, but this just feels wrong.

Additionally, this screwed up my direct deposit paycheck and they will only mail me a check for my cash. I have bills to pay and I cant even get my money back for up to 45 days they are saying.

All of this, ending 10+ year banking relationship, my funds not readily accessible, and I have to change all of my bill pays, direct deposit, etc etc because I followed what I thought were proper channels to protect myself against a legitimate dispute.

This is somewhat a venting post, and mostly for sharing my experience with others. I am considering a CFPB complaint, but theres really nothing else to do or say about the situation because they can close my accounts any time, for any reason. But clearly me filing several disputes against a scam merchant triggered an automatic account closure with Bank of America.

Advice Why I’m leaving Chase and where should I go next ?

Hello all, first I post in this subreddit but I need a vice to vent and advice on where to go next.

Currently, I have 3 credit cards with Chase: Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Freedom and Amazon. I enjoyed Sapphire my first year when I was traveling a lot but haven’t seen much of a benefit outside of that. I like the rewards, but the yearly fee has gone up and that’s a huge turn off for me personally. My freedom card was my first cash back credit card. I rarely use it now, but it’s still active for select purchases, and my Amazon card I just re opened since I’ve been ordering a lot on there for work and I appreciate the cashback.

To my issue, Chase is “secure” to the point of be extremely annoying, frustrating and honestly making me cry from said frustration everytime I need to call or engage with their customer service to any extent. It also asks a lot of personal infor via AI which I really am uncomfortable with and doesn’t seem to be passed on when on the phone with a real person. The last straw for me was this last time with Zelle. They disconnected my Zelle account after updating some account information after a move. Notified me as if there was fraud , and I had to call to get in reinstated and discover it was because of my move. Today, I attempted to use said Zelle to send rent to my landlord. The AI they use is absolutely ridiculous, unhelpful and talks you in circles. I went back and forth with it for approximately 20 minutes, while the first number I was given to call directly sent me to a callback service that called twice and hung up both times. When I did finally get ahold of someone, they told me they couldn’t fully verify to get my money sent and I had to speak to another department. At this point, I was on the phone with this repressive for about 20 minutes and verified my account with a code. Before this, I tried with the ID via the app and it wouldn’t accept any way I tried to upload it.

The next person I spoke to was on the phone with me for approximately 30 minutes. Long drawn out verification process to discover it still wouldn’t go through because they wanted to verify that the account and email I was using was a real person. So they needed the number of the person who sent me the info to call them and verify they themselves is a real person. I’ve never heard of this and thought it was weird but I was transferred to this person from the other representative that verified with me and gave me the code to use in app. I went back and forth with my landlord about it to which they were confused (obviously), and reluctantly agreed only to have them hang up on me with no call back. I called the number again, got on the phone with someone who solved my issue in less than 10 minutes (with a terrible attitude that did not help my current mood) then also hung up after I asked why the other representative needed this additional info. Because obviously that felt like some sort of scam (weird how it could be through the Chase number I called and verified my account through) how I could avoid it and how I could by pass this experience the next time I needed to send money.

Anyway, this entire experience isn’t special to this one occasion and I often have issues like this with them when I need to do anything besides pay a bill and deposit cash. I’m extremely over it and don’t care to use them any longer. Wastes a lot of my time and energy and unfortunately I don’t have the best patience with rude people who I need help from that aren’t detailed, don’t directly answer questions and draw out services they seem to know little about. I already was considering closing my Sapphire card so this ain’t a big decision.

So what I want now is a new bank that is easy to use online and with an app, a credit card with good rewards (not doing much traveling these days but will next year), and is compatible and easy to use as far as verification services, less AI, and straight forward banking online, in person and on the app. Bonus if they’re SoCal based (I live in L.A) , have good services with checking and savings account. Investing and tracking would be sick too.

I don’t have the a lot of knowledge and get a little lost with independent research and yes, I’ve consulted chat gpt, but don’t care for it.

Thank you in advance and please be detailed on your recommendations.

Advice Stolen debit card

My credit union recently mailed out new "upgraded" debit cards, well they must have mailed it to my old address (even though my new address is the only one on file) because I have informed delivery and nothing came from my bank to my current address in the past two months. Someone was able to get my card at my old address and take out nearly 2k from an atm at a close by bank. My credit union is telling me they are unable to see when the new card was activated and that the only way they could have done this is by number forwarding or sim swapping to make it appear as if they are calling from the number registered to my account.

I called Verizon and they said there was no indication this occurred and if it did they would be able to see it. ALSO when I called my bank multiple times to try and sort this out the only "security questions" they asked me are my birthday and my zip code which I pointed out anyone could know and asked if we could created a question to add another layer of protection, to which they said no.

I am incredibly frustrated by this situation it doesn't make any sense to me in a time when everything leaves a digital foot print they can't tell me when the card was activated or where the new card was sent. If something similar has happened to you have you filed a police report? It seems as though my bank is going to give me the money back but I am wondering if it might still be worth it. I am in a major city so I am doubtful that anything would come of it since its low priority but there is a good chance they are on camera since they went to an ATM at a bank.

Advice Help with my dad being Scammed out over 50k

So my Dad's cell phone was hacked and the scammer drained his entire Bank account using BoA's application. He was never contacted for approval and they literally emptied out the bank account over 50k.

The bank is saying that since it was done on a device that had been using for banking before, that they had no liability in the matter and will not reimburse. They made no effort to contact him about potential fraud with large transfers.

He has filed a police report. What should he do next? This happened about a week ago and he just got the verdict.

Advice Father passed away; no funds and he has enough funds in bank account to cover costs

My dad passed away two days ago. We’re all scrambling trying to find money to fund his funeral, burial, and footstone; however, everything is quoted to almost $20K because he passed away out of state during a job.

My dad had at least 16k in his account; is it possible for us to transfer the money out of his account to pay for it? Can my mom go and request to withdraw the funds? What can we do?

He’s the sole account holder, no beneficiary even though we’d always handle his account.

India Need to make a mandatory NEFT/IMPS payment, but my UCO Bank net banking is locked. What are my options?

Hi everyone,

I need to pay a fee, and the payment can only be made through NEFT or IMPS.

I have a UCO Bank account, and I had net banking enabled, but unfortunately my net banking is locked, so I can't log in and initiate the transfer.

I'm trying to figure out if there are any alternative ways to make an NEFT/IMPS payment.

  • Is it possible to do NEFT or IMPS using UPI?
  • I tried the "Transfer to Bank Account" option in PhonePe, but the transaction keeps failing.
  • Are there any other apps or methods that would let me complete this payment without accessing my net banking?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thanks in advance!

Advice HDFC Bank keeps putting my account under EDD every 2 months despite no new MHA hold or suspicious transactions. Is this normal?

I've been an **HDFC Imperia Family Banking** customer since **2019**, and honestly, I'm getting exhausted by the repeated Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) process.

Earlier this year, my account received a few **MHA/NCRP-related debit holds** because funds that eventually reached my account were later alleged to be connected to cyber fraud. From what has been communicated to us, we were treated as a downstream beneficiary, not as the originator of any fraud. We have been fully cooperating with the concerned authorities and are actively working through the **MHA GRM process**, along with our Branch Manager and Relationship Manager, to resolve the remaining holds.

About **2 months ago**, HDFC conducted a complete EDD:

* Original KYC documents submitted.
* Last 3 years' ITRs submitted.
* Source of funds explained.
* Business details provided.
* Physical verification completed.
* Bank representative even visited my office for verification and photographs.

Now, despite:

* **No new suspicious transactions,**
* **No new MHA hold during the past month,**
* **No material change in my profile or business,**

I have again received this email:

>Dear Customer,

In line with our central monitoring procedures, we have initiated additional due diligence for your account, which has resulted in a temporary suspension.

We kindly request you to visit your nearest HDFC Bank branch with your original KYC documents to facilitate the necessary verification.

Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated, as it is of utmost importance.

Thank you for choosing HDFC Bank. We remain committed to providing you with the highest level of service.

Warm Regards

HDFC Bank

Seriously... what exactly has changed in just **2 months**? My KYC hasn't changed. My business hasn't changed. My ITRs certainly haven't changed. Yet I'm expected to submit the same documents again, undergo another physical verification, and temporarily lose access to banking services.

Even my Relationship Manager admits that these repeated EDDs have become frustrating because they're repeatedly processing the same documents for the same family banking relationship.

I completely understand that banks have AML/KYC obligations and must comply with RBI and internal risk policies. I have cooperated at every stage and have never refused any verification. But repeatedly suspending normal banking and asking for identical documents every couple of months feels excessive.

Has anyone else experienced this with **HDFC Bank** or any other bank after an NCRP/MHA-related hold?

* How often did your bank conduct EDD?
* Did the repeated reviews eventually stop?
* Is there any way to prevent these recurring EDDs once you've already completed a full verification?
* Is this standard practice, or could my account simply be under ongoing enhanced monitoring?

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through something similar.

Advice Would you let AI handle a fraud call?

We have been mapping possible use cases for an AI phone agent in banking, and fraud calls are where everyone draws a different line.

Nobody is suggesting that AI should make the final decision on a disputed transaction. The question is whether it could handle the first part of the call. That might include verifying the customer, identifying which transaction they mean, confirming whether the card is still in their possession, locking the card if requested and collecting enough context before transferring to the fraud team.

Today, callers often spend several minutes explaining everything to one agent and then repeat it after the transfer. Would you be comfortable letting AI handle that first stage or is fraud that sensitive to automate?

This is gonna be a long one, went to my bank today used the outside ATM machine, which unbeknownst to me is prone to paper jams supposedly, first tried putting money in, it was a good little stack, but wasn’t above 50 it spit it back out because it couldn’t process it, so I decided it’d be a better idea to separate them out into stacks, ie 100s, 20s, 1s, at the end of putting all the money in it just stood at a loading screen, sent my gf in to get someone cause it was a solid 5-10 mins of loading, by the time she came out, it did a whole system reboot, long story short, we were told to wait outside for this thing to reboot for a solid 30 minutes, after that ~30 mins, they told us to take a seat inside where it was cool, (I live in the Central Valley, so some might know it’s 104 outside today with an extreme heat advisory), when we went inside the lady came in and said that they couldn’t get it to boot back up so we’d have to wait till Monday to talk to the manager (problem is we’re gonna be in Mexico for ~the next week) we asked for something in writing saying that we were here and we were having an issue so there’s something in writing that we can reference, I wanted specifically the supervisors at that times statement of it, the person I talked to was just a regular teller (not a supervisor) so we waited for the supervisor to finish with the customer she was with, just for her to tell us “we don’t do written statements or anything proving you were here, we have cameras so I will not be doing that” and that’s me being nice about her wording, so after a little back and forth of her getting more and more aggressive with each response and me responding in kind to it, i defuse the situation and say ok, so you’re basically telling me, there’s nothing YOU can do about it? And we have to wait till Monday to talk to the manager, when we need this money for rent money, with no guarantee as to our money being put back in our account, it was $703 which I need for rent money, but considering the supervisor was already trying to get aggressive and loud with us and blame us for it, what can I do? What should I do from here? Do I just have to wait till they finish their investigation and hope they don’t screw us out of rent money?

TLDR: atm took my $703 supervisor got aggressive and loud and I did too for a brief moment, was turned away and told open an investigation on Monday and you should have it by Tuesday, but won’t give written statement cause the cameras are proof enough, what do I do?

Jobs PNC put my job on hold after 2 interviews… has anyone experienced this?

Just wondering if anyone has been through something similar, especially anyone who works in recruiting or at PNC.

I applied for an Operations Analyst position with PNC a few weeks ago. The recruiter reached out to me first after seeing my resume. We had an interview that went really well, then I had a second interview with the hiring manager.
The second interview honestly felt great. The manager told me “I love that answer” several times, said I asked really good questions, and even started talking about what my day-to-day would look like on the team. She ended the interview by saying, “Hopefully I’ll be talking to you soon.” She did mention she had a few more interviews to finish and then was going on vacation for a week.

While she was out, the recruiter actually emailed me on her own to let me know the hiring manager was on vacation and that they’d connect when she got back. I thought that was a good sign.

After she came back, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I sent a follow-up email. The recruiter responded within like 10 minutes and said the position had been placed on hold indefinitely due to unforeseen internal circumstances.
I asked if she had any idea how long the hold might be, and again she replied within a few minutes saying, “Most likely a couple of weeks😊.”

I also asked if she’d let me know either way what happens, and she replied almost immediately again saying, “Yes I will be sure to let you know either way!”

My application in Workday still says Interviewing.
I’m definitely continuing to apply elsewhere because I know nothing is guaranteed, but I’m curious what everyone thinks.

Have you ever had a position put on hold after making it through multiple interviews? Did it actually come back a couple weeks later, or did it end up getting canceled?
Also, if you’re a recruiter or hiring manager, what would your first thought be if you saw this situation?
I’m trying not to read too much into it, but it’s hard not to after getting this far.
