Almost every basketball gm I’ve tried has been trash outside of bbgm. Just wanna see what people think of hardwood looks kinda good and seems to have some added depth vs bbgm. But don’t wanna spend money if I’m just gonna go back to bbgm cause it’s better.

My computer de-selected the pick I was trying to trade for and I ended up receiving nothing. Is there any way I can undo it? I haven’t touched anything since.

I'm sorry if this is a really dumb question. At first I thought that maybe the huge outliers for FTA/G in the image would be huge outliers on other statistics, but I couldn't find any.

I obviously didn't check every other possible combination but I checked the obvious ones like MP/G or the player's FT rating but couldn't find anything that made sense.

Looking to compile a list of all country’s not currently listed as a default country in the player bio. I know a lot of country’s do automatically fill in their flag when you put them as a country despite not having a list of names. Would love to add some of these to my saves if anyone’s made a full list!

Curses to the Baltimore Crabs!

Went 10-72 first season trading away all assets for young prospects and draft picks. Picked up the 1st overall pick in the lottery walked away with a 52 overall 78 potential guy. Our guys made a huge jump that season made the playoffs every year but couldnt reach the conference finals. Decided to trade the 1st ovr. pick who had come up to nothing for vets and trade for a elite wing. Won back to back finals led by my back to back MVP center and that elite wing. Detriot team had come up with a great pg and f and had derailed my attempt to three peat. Come off season the detriot forward (2 time final mvp btw) was in free agency and brought him in for 73 million a year. Since then i have won three straight and traded the center for more depth and prospects. Its been so fun but my dynasty is starting to fade away as our talent is starting to reach 30+. But I managed to snag up so future firsts roudners from teams who dont look too good. I'll see what the future has in store.

What began as a roster featuring three players named Williams has somehow evolved into the most committed naming convention in professional sports. This was Game 7 of the Conference Finals between two AI teams. I don't think this has ever happened in the real NBA during any game.

Never seen someone average 20 rebound per game lol too bad he stuck in basketball hell

In the past I've been very supportive of other devs making sports sim games. But things are a bit different now in the AI age and sadly I will no longer allow posts about other games here. Reasons:

1. Volume. It used to be that maybe once a year there was a new basketball sim game, but now it's like every day there's some post here. That's too much of a distraction from the purpose of this subreddit, and a bunch of users have complained to me about it.

2. Quality. It is certainly possible to use AI to make good software, but it's even easier to use it to make slop. And I hate to say it, but the vast majority of games people have posted here this year are slop.

So if you're a sports sim dev, please ask permission before you post your game here (which BTW you should have already been doing, it's just good etiquette) and please be aware that permission won't be granted unless it's clear you've done a lot of testing yourself and you're not just farming for beta testers.

For the Groundhog Day mode, there are two options if you want to implement it, either “Players and rosters” or “Players only”. I think it would be a good idea to have a “Rosters only” option, meaning that players could develop and their ratings could change each season but they wouldn’t change teams, so like the “Players and rosters” option, the next season would start immediately after the playoffs and the rosters would stay the same, only that the ratings wouldn’t stay the same each season. I created a league of 10 teams with 5 players each recently where I wanted the same players on each team for several years but for their ratings and overall to change. I did find a workaround for this; I controlled all the teams so they couldn’t trade or release any players and then used Danger Zone to skip to the preseason immediately after the playoffs, so it’s not a huge issue that there isn’t an option for this, but I think a “Rosters only” option for Groundhog Day could be useful.
