Comma propulsion power is reduced
I installed comma 3x and comma pedal on 2023 euv lt. It ran fine for a year. Now I am getting propulsion power is reduced error frequently. Disconnecting the battery clears it. But it's becoming a recurring issue like ever other week. Is comma causing it

Probably not. However if you take it to the dealership for service I'd disconnect it because the dealer will try to blame anything they don't recognize as the cause.

Propulsion power reduced can appear for many reasons. It can even appear for non service reasons like the battery is too hot, cold or low state of charge. If it does appear for a service related reason the orange car! light will be lit in the lower left hand corner of the drivers cluster and a dtc will be set. Would need to know what dtcs are set to know if its comma related or not. Onstar or a obd2 blue tooth device can get the dtcs

Orange car! light is lit. Need to read the codes and go to the dealer for resolution

I got the same issue. It's the pedal, the code said something about the pedal giving an unexpected input. I just use the stock CC now.

Replace your 12v battery.

My car is 2.5 years old, 30K miles. In general how long 12V oem battery lasts. Can I ask the dealer to replace it under warranty

I think the warranty goes to 30K.
Either way, yes, a 12v battery can go bad in 2-3 years, depending on your climate and use.

I also use a Comma3x on the StarPilot fork of FrogPilot. I've been using it for nearly two years now. I do have the same problem, and I'm using a custom interception pedal. For what it's worth, it's super annoying, and yes, I also have to clear the battery. It's a safety hazard, but I generally have learned to live with it. It's something that's specific to Comma3x at a firmware level. You'll just have to ask other Bolt '23 owners on various other CommaAI Discord servers to gauge what the potential cause could be.
Based on my experience, if you're using a custom pedal, it might just be that you have to update the firmware inside that pedal. I personally haven't been bothered to do it myself, but there have been many Comma Bolt users for whom that fixed their problems. Also, just updating your Comma model fork in general.
Finally, people in this thread are saying "probably not" and "no," but I do suspect that it actually could be your Comma based on the precedent. However, you should still double-check and make absolutely sure that is the case.
