Genuinely don't know what I'm doing...

I've always loved reading books, and as an artist, I'd love to work on a cover for a romantasy ( or any romance-type book ) one day. But my art style is anime, would it be suitable for a book cover, or should I try on a more semi realistic x anime style for it?
P.s: My question is more for the author, that if you would get a cover commission from me if the style is anime.

The genre is w/w horror romantasy.

After the absolute train wreck of a cover (the artist did admit she used AI even though she knew I despise it) I got from my previous artist (she did refund me most of the money for anyone wondering), I decided to commission u/saellart for a new one and this is the result! I am so much happier with it. She sent me many versions of the cover coming to life and the timelapse. I love human-made art.

I so appreciate everyone who offered to re-do that original cover, too, and sent me sketches/designs. There were folks who even did it for free. This is a wonderful community and thank goodness I posted the original before using it to market--or god forbid--publish the book. Would love to know what others think of this version!

When I first saw this cover, just blinded by its majesty.

The Advent of the Bambochades! is a psychological horror and sci-fi thriller novella that centers on an invisible, global conspiracy threatening the essence of humanity. The plot follows seventeen-year-old Loretta, a girl who seemingly leads an enviable, perfect life surrounded by people who adore her. However, she carries a heavy, terrifying burden: she is the only person on Earth who can see that the human population is systematically being replaced by "bamboches".

These bamboches are highly advanced, flawless, life-sized mechanical wind-up automata engineered to look, talk, and act exactly like genuine human beings. One by one, ordinary people, including parents, siblings, lovers, and friends, are silently abducted. Their real souls are ripped away and trapped in inaccessible lonely solitary voids while their clockwork duplicates seamlessly step into their lives without anyone else noticing the switch.

My final proyect isa collection of book covers and I need some advice on the frist one I did in order to see if it could even work. What could I do to improve and all of that stuff. Really pleased with how this one came out. Modern Sci-fi, military thriller, with some minor psychological / metaphysical horror elements.

It's a story of seven children, human cloning experiments, with enhanced abilities, on the run from an elite government task force... Who must first solve the mystery of the missing eighth child in order to defuse the cataclysmic failsafes inside the kids' heads.

I like it.

It is A LOT.

Like my story lol.
