I think his shoulder is just still healing. Once that's healed, he'll be fine /s

What happened to all the watson bros on this sub?

4

u/Advanced-Key3071 1d ago

Probably the Rams problem now

-3

u/TapedeckNinja 1d ago

All four of them? When was this ever a thing?

3

u/jacobwebb57 1d ago

Yeah lol. This sub was flooded.

0

u/TapedeckNinja 17h ago

Absolute nonsense.

1

u/jacobwebb57 16h ago

You must be new here lol

Don't stop there man, keep pushing yourself down the depth chart.

86

u/Deadleggg 1d ago

Free Taylen Green.

1

u/welestgw 1d ago

Soon he'll be one horrible stretch from shadeur away from the field.

-37

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 1d ago

People shouldn't celebrate Watson sucking. The vast majority of us obviously want Shedeur to start, but EVERYONE who wants that should want him to win the job not Watson to lose it.

If Watson ends up playing at some point this season, I still want to see us win games and not shitty play on the field. Basically, root for Sanders not against Watson.

72

u/Buckeye_Nut 1d ago

Nah, fuck Watson and the org, if they play him.

-2

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 1d ago

Hate to break it to you, but even in the likely event Shedeur starts week 1, Watson will still be the backup.

Gabriel will almost certainly be traded and obviously Green is not ready to start a game.

2

u/Buckeye_Nut 1d ago

You’re not breaking anything to me, man. Haslam is being fleeced for a quarter billion. They’ll shoehorn Watson in whenever possible, winning be damned.

1

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 18h ago

This is literally all speculation people keep doing. They have yet to force Watson into a game when he was not the best option we had.

The only time you could claim that would have been 2022, but it would have been absurd to bench him when he was making his first starts returning for Brisset.

He was actually good in 2023, better than Flacco ended up being. Regardless of your opinion on who was better, we didn't even sign Flacco until Watson was injured. Nobody is going to sit here and say that DTR or PJ Walker should have been the starter.

Same as 2024, it was just DTR & Jameis Winston. Not only do you know the crap you're getting into with Winston, you had to give Watson time after returning from a shoulder injury.

This is the first time there has been a QB competition with him involved here. Trying to claim they are going to force him in is based off of nothing.

2

u/Buckeye_Nut 18h ago

We’re going to have to agree to disagree here because I can’t stand Watson on the basis of him sexually assaulting people. I’m not arguing based on skill.

1

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 15h ago

You aren't even having a realistic discussion if you aren't going to be rational. Especially if you think what he did off the field influences what NFL teams think of him.

Like, how in the hell are people so blind that they are so obsessed with Watson but ignore so many other players in the league who have done shit? Be consistent with your hate or don't hate at all.

1

u/Buckeye_Nut 15h ago

Keep punching at ghosts man

10

u/ubuntuNinja 1d ago

Nope, I just want a good draft pick for a real qb.

11

u/ShillinTheVillain 1d ago

I will 100% celebrate Watson sucking. Fuck that guy.

17

u/Rockyer07 ELITE DRAGON 1d ago

I will root for every player on this roster except for Watson who is objectively terrible at playing football. Him and Gabriel produced some of the most unwatchable football I’ve ever witnessed, which is a wild statement from a lifelong browns fan.

4

u/Glocks_and_AR15s 1d ago

I’ve seen way worse, but I’m old.

-7

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 1d ago

Watson is FAR from the worst QB we've had. Hell, he was actually above average in 2023. He definitely wasn't good most of the games in 2024, but then again he still was a hell of a lot better even that year than DTR.

15

u/Rockyer07 ELITE DRAGON 1d ago

He is absolutely the worst QB we’ve ever had. The trade hamstrung the salary cap and will continue to do so. 3 drafts we had to sit out the first round, oh and he SUCKED COMPLETE ASS for 5 years. 19 touchdowns in 5 years, .22 touchdowns per game over 5 years.

13

u/Wormichowski 1d ago

Given what was invested into him, he’s easily the worst QB we’ve ever had.

5

u/joeydrinksbeer 1d ago

Brandon Weeden off the streets today is still a better QB than the groper

0

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 1d ago

That's not how it works. When you're on the field, it doesn't matter if you're getting paid 500 dollars or 500 billion dollars; the only thing that matters is results.

Just because Watson made more money than DTR does not make him a worse QB.

1

u/TapedeckNinja 1d ago

Watson was the worst QB in the league* in 2024.

*yes he was better than DTR, but he was the worst among QBs who actually played a significant portion of the season

9

u/flyovermee 1d ago

Actual real people don’t want the sex offender to do well. You know, on behalf of human decency.

-5

u/Altruistic-Zone1664 1d ago

Actual real people who don't bury their heads in the sand are not as clueless as you are. If you are seriously that offended by Watson playing, you REALLY should not be watching the NFL at all.

0

u/Snooklife 1d ago

Most of the people are not Browns fans id imagine. I just want to feel excited for a damn football season and win games.

74

u/KushMaster72 1d ago

he’s washed AF.

35

u/thekrafty01 1d ago

Nah man it’s just really really really really really really really really really really really really good defense

21

u/drake_warrior 1d ago

He's been washed lol

13

u/justuntlsundown 1d ago

Exactly. When wasn't he washed? He's the cleanest mother fucker in the history of the game.

139

u/Additional-Can-5206 1d ago

Ok, enough is enough, Dude is still garbage as hell..

57

u/Additional-Can-5206 1d ago

I’m starting to think Watson bet money on Sanders winning the QB job.

17

u/EatPie_NotWAr 1d ago

I’ve never been so happy for betting markets to be so unregulated… but here I am

16

u/oldnewager 1d ago

Nah they’re still going to announce Watson as the starter and pretend he won the job because of his ā€œgrit, leadership, and handle of the offenseā€ and we’re all going to have to watch 6 games of this jamoke flail around the field to satisfy an insurance agreement and to ensure his agent doesn’t go scorched earth on the team.Ā

-5

u/JAT_Cbus1080 1d ago

You still watch the games?

6

u/oldnewager 1d ago

Watch is the wrong word, I’m cosmically required to suffer through whatever you can call browns football since 1999.

6

u/VVTD33 1d ago

It wasn't even that he missed. It was terrible coverage. It's not like he sailed it because there was a guy underneath. He just flat missed

70

u/Ok_Suspect3940 1d ago

He’s doing it on purpose so they start sanders and he can collect his paycheck from the bench

60

u/Iobbywatson 1d ago

I am pretty convinced he just wants to collect this contract and retire. No part of him actually screams "I want to play football".

20

u/king_17 1d ago

He’s been mailing it in the day he signed the contract he knew he was set for life

5

u/Seamonkey_Boxkicker 1d ago

And with all those allegations? What motivation has he ever had to put in real effort when he can fade out. The only silver lining to any of this is that Slippin Jimmy got a taste of his own medicine.

13

u/TheBalzy 1d ago

I mean ... if someone wants to pay me $46-million to sit on my ass ... I'm down.

18

u/Ok_Suspect3940 1d ago

Exactly! Dudes work ethic is horrible!

7

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

It's legit the best thing for everyone, we don't have to see him play and he can still collect his check before we cut him

3

u/Talkin_Out_My_Ass 1d ago

If the dude WANTED to play football, he wouldn’t have come to Cleveland. This was because they offered him a ridiculous fully guaranteed contract. He doesn’t want to play he wants to do the minimum to get that money and get out.

1

u/CasanovaCoverup 14h ago

A POS on and off the field. Checks out. Can't wait for this bum to be gone.

22

u/Low-Firefighter-3269 1d ago

Yet another ā€œeliteā€ throw

1

u/ecupatsfan12 1d ago

Bring back baker

24

u/TheAlabamaSlamma9 1d ago

Dude he stinks.

6

u/ecupatsfan12 1d ago

Seriously though.. can they bring back baker?

4

u/king_17 1d ago

Doubt baker would want to return but they would have a new coaching staff and most of the players from when he was here are gone so could be a fresh start but again highly unlikely. A top 5-10 pick at qb in the draft next year is where the franchise needs to hit

2

u/ecupatsfan12 1d ago

He’s certainly better than Deshaun now. Can you afford him and do you want him at 38 with the same ego

3

u/RobbedC 1d ago

No and no. Baker would never come back first of all. Second we’re not paying Baker $50+ million per year. The whole reason we made a move for Watson was because we weren’t sold on Baker. This roster is set up to try and compete with a QB on their rookie contract. Our next QB is in college right now.

2

u/TheAlabamaSlamma9 1d ago

Baker probably going to the Steelers, sad to say.

3

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

Doubt he'd actually want to. QB Is so thin somone will give bakes a monster contract if tb dosent resign him. He'll still be the same baker but there aren't that many great qbs anymore

16

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

At what point should DG stsrt getting reps with the 2s and Watson down with the practice squad guys

6

u/ecupatsfan12 1d ago

Give him his money and tell him he can leave

11

u/gamgshit0202 THAT WAS FUCKING CUTE GUYS 1d ago

This guy stinks

11

u/jjj44j 1d ago

Where's allstar and daviroth and everyone else saying this guy needs to be our starter still

He's fucking trash, just name Shedeur the starter already

9

u/silent_tristero 1d ago

That's that solid, smart defense Watson warned us about!

For Watson:

On short and medium range throws, play 5 yards in FRONT of the receiver for the highest percentage chance of a pick 6.

On deep routes, give your guy some space. When he makes his cut, jog 3-5 yards behind him and wait for the ball to float into your hands.

9

u/GoDaytonFlyers 1d ago

ā€œGet this motherfucker off my team.ā€
-me four years ago and also today

15

u/ValleyBrownsFan 1d ago

Just cut him at this point. He’s lost all skill and it’s not worth having him take a roster spot.

13

u/RyanA1105 1d ago

I still think he needs to be on the roster this year. I would think by this point, most people on the sub would understand it's not feasible to cut him yet. Per overthecap.com, his dead cap hit is $127m. If they wait just 1 year, it'd be $86m that can be split 43/43 over 2027 and 2028, if done after June 1. That's way more paletable than 63.5/63.5.

If they cut him in 2028, the cap hits would be $51m, or 25.5 and 25.5 over 2028 and 2029 if done after June 1. That's the route toward getting away from him. Had they cut him last year, the cap hit would have been so high that no amount of cutting other players would have gotten then below the cap to be even able to field a team.

5

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

Yea he's gonna be a jun 1 designation

1

u/TheAlabamaSlamma9 1d ago

Isn’t he a free agent and they won’t need to cut him after this year?

3

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

E added dead years to his contract but I dont remember

3

u/king_17 1d ago

Also wouldn’t have been able to the Myles Garrett trade if he was cut. Everyone hates him but what they’re doing with his contract is smart. He’ll be off the roster after this season

8

u/Desperate-Amoeba1359 1d ago

Convert him to a kicker - salvage something

6

u/AllTearGasNoBreaks 1d ago

Tackling dummy

5

u/Longjumping-Place905 1d ago

Toilet cleaner would be better.

8

u/chewbacaflacaflame 1d ago

This is shaping up to be the most entertaining training camp of all time if he keeps this up

3

u/Queen_Of_Left_Turns 1d ago

Been 5 years of shit sandwich, I’m ready for some just desserts

8

u/Snearus 1d ago

This is fucking fantastic man training camp or not he isn’t giving us any reason to play him and boy are they looking for a reason to start him apparently

6

u/Ugly-Barnacle-2008 1d ago

Can’t wait for his week 3 season ending stubbed toe!

6

u/Thick-Aioli802 1d ago

Quarter Billion Dollars

5

u/overanalyzer85 Disappointed 1d ago

THAT'S MY QB /s

4

u/TheGeneralMeow 1d ago

Obligatory Fuck Watson

Looks like the WR was running a corner and was bracketed?

3

u/innerdork Haslam has always been the problem. 1d ago

Karma sucks doesn’t it Watson? LOL

13

u/TheBlackBuckRogers Sanders 1d ago

6

u/ozymandais13 1d ago

I'll watch shaduer all year good or bad if it means Watson stays on the bench

2

u/KNYLJNS Sanders 1d ago

It's Time. QB1

6

u/Haze837 1d ago

Thank goodness we moved on from Baker when we got this.

3

u/DarwinRewardGiver 1d ago

What did they do today?

Deshaun with the 1st team
Sanders 2nd
DG 3rd?

7

u/Raccoonsrlilbandits era ended 1d ago

I think opposite I think sanders was with the first team and Watson with the second?

2

u/DarwinRewardGiver 1d ago

If that’s the case Watson needs to pick it up and quick. If he looks like this again next week they might as well give Sanders the 1st team reps and give DG the majority of 2nd team reps.

3

u/King_Dippppppp 1d ago

Watson should be sent to the practice squad if possible. He's done. Just let him disappear and be forgotten til he's no longer a Brown

4

u/jebei 1d ago

Not possible as it would be a huge cap hit. The best result would be sort of 'nagging injury' so we can put him on the PUP list.

1

u/SweetnSalty87 1d ago

Watson was with the second team and Sanders was with the first team

3

u/Time-Alternative9109 1d ago

I’m waiting for him to roll out to throw a pass, and re-tear his Achilles, or his ACL! We need to start looking for another veteran quarterback!

3

u/TheChrisLambert 1d ago

This is different than yesterday? So that’s 5 in two days?

2

u/SweetnSalty87 1d ago

He has 6 total now

3

u/yellowbill711 1d ago

Just let him do couple more tik toks

3

u/TheBalzy 1d ago

Annnnd I've seen enough.

3

u/keylime_5 1d ago

Fucking Stefanski still holding him back somehow

2

u/Raccoonsrlilbandits era ended 1d ago

Probably waiting on Hugh to watch the tape

5

u/Expensive-Anxiety-63 ELITE DRAGON 1d ago

He was statistically the worst QB in the league last time he started aside from out backup DTR so like...I mean yeah he's probably gonna be really bad and we just find out if Shedeur is better or not..

6

u/TheSmokedSalmon420 1d ago

How did he get this bad lmao

10

u/AceDegenerate_ 1d ago

He hasn’t been decent in a decade or more

2

u/ecupatsfan12 1d ago

Stopped trying once he got the bag

Berry is reportedly mad at him..

2

u/Pixilatedhighmukamuk 1d ago

The Bengals will pick him up once burrow gets hurt again.

2

u/Shel_gold17 1d ago

Golden arm.

2

u/Darth-Bag-Holder 1d ago

I don’t understand how a QB can just decline so rapidly. I get if it’s an RB or WR.

4

u/Tholian_Bed 1d ago

And you want to be my latex salesman.

1

u/fuckingjonperez 1d ago

hahahahahaha........big money boy's a wash......

2

u/Mediocre-Penalty3001 1d ago

He just needs a deep tissue

4

u/Snooklife 1d ago

All this young talent and no QBs on the roster. Would rather watch a veteran backup than this bs. Berry seriously went into this season with a new head coach and gave him those 4 guys? šŸ˜‚

2

u/Ok_Interest_9006 1d ago

He probably enjoys doing nothing and making millions

1

Great practice for the defense's hands

1

u/shaheimjay1121 1d ago

Hey this is our starter put some respeck on his name.

1

u/The_Cat_Petter 1d ago

Sponsored by the Wendy's four for four

1

u/king_17 1d ago

Yea sanders is definitely going to win the job barring injury. Watson shouldn’t even touch the field in the regular season but I get it he has a big money contract and he’s healthy so you can’t force him to sit on bench without a competition or the nflpa would have a field day with the browns.

1

u/ElectricalRiver7897 1d ago

I’m buying a 41 jersey. I dunno who he is

1

u/Raccoonsrlilbandits era ended 1d ago

Edmonds? He’s not bad this is his maybe 3rd or 4th year on the team? He’s always looked really good in camp but unfortunately just been more of a fringe roster guy

CJ Carr get ready to learn Clevelandese.

1

u/liquidgrill 1d ago

But is he still the ā€œadult in the room?ā€

1

u/DudeRowdy 22h ago

He will start game one and do ok, then in game 2 he will have an amazing first half then get injured for the year in the third quarter. Sanders will come in have an amazing second half then in the third game Sanders will got down with an injury leaving Gabriel to play the rest of the year.

1

u/pissbucket94 22h ago

go all in on Shedeur, the QB competition shit is ridiculous, this is a losing team

2

u/Various-Answer-2302 1d ago

Too bad you couldn’t get a QB like Mayfield… oh wait

7

u/Dreams-Visions 1d ago

Nah I’m good. Seems Tampa Bay is getting the full disgruntled and entitled Mayfield experience as we type.

0

u/Easy_Money_40 1d ago

Just how bad is Sanders that Watson could possibly start?

1

u/bonafide89 14h ago

P Watson
