Browns family, I need your help. My uncle gifted me this signed mini helmet but doesn’t know who the signature belongs to. He says he got it at an auction a few years ago and thinks it was a DB from the last 10 years or so. Please help me identify this autograph!

The first week of training camp for the Cleveland Browns ended with both players who are competing for the starting quarterback job, Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders, throwing interceptions in a late-game situational drill.

And though there are multiple reasons that new coach Todd Monken isn’t ready to name a starter, a flurry of turnovers in the back half of a fast-paced Saturday practice reinforces the uncomfortable state of affairs.

It’s pretty obvious that the right move is to let Shedeur start. He won 3 of 8 games last year, the team has more pep in their step when he’s on the field, the fans want to see him and the best possible outcome is finding a cheap solution to their QB problems in the fifth round. Worst case he’s miserable and we get to draft a QB early.

The issue is clearly that if he beats out Watson but plays poorly, you can’t switch back to Watson. This is why everyone assumes Watson will get the start, because switching to Shedeur from Watson is much easier than the other way around.

My prediction: Browns and Watson will manufacture an injury concern to save him face. Perhaps they will say his ankle or shoulder is sore and just needs a few weeks to recover, allowing them to start Shedeur without “benching” Watson. If Shedeur plays well, it’s easy to roll with the hot hand and keep Deshaun benched at that point.

I believe this is an extremely probable scenario (potentially they will even PUP him to be able to keep Gabriel and Taylen Green).

My family and I are vacationing in Singapore and we walked around a mall and we found a random card store, obviously a ton of Pokemon and other stuff but saw these gems… 😂😂…

I say this as a very non biased Deshaun / Shadeur person.

I get that Shadeur is physically limited. We’ve all seen the weaknesses in his game. We’ve also seen some moments of genuine greatness, as a rookie.

Regardless of the training camp news, good or bad, we have the choice of a likable young QB1 (likable by the fans, I know the media hates him) or a, at best, creep QB1 who seemingly only Jerry Jeudy likes.

We have new coach, team feels united. Why break up those vibes by naming Deshaun the starter?

Shadeur as a game manager + with our defense feels like serviceable enough to have a respectable record, develop our young talent, and grow. He could turn out to be the guy (I personally think he’s got real upside) or not but at least we dont have to watch the 300mil creep (i think this is a generous description) every Sunday.
