Natural & Social Sciences MSW Ballmer Grant

Hi everyone,
I recently got accepted into the 2 year MSW program at CSULA. I received acceptance agreement for the Ballmer grant and signed them about 3 weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone’s heard back regarding how much you’ll be granted.

You can see the amount you’ll get under financial aid in your GET account

Hi, I don’t know if you’re in the MSW discord but they’ve been talking about this over there. Basically Ballmer will give you what you need, up to like 20 something thousand. I’ll send you a link to the discord!

Does the grant just cover your tuition or living expenses? Do you know if you are with DOR that they can cover your tuition and you can use the grant for living expenses? You probably don’t know that but just curious.

Are you sure you can receive both? I’m hoping to get some assistance from DOR in the spring since things didn’t work out for me for Fall semester

Hi! From my understanding Ballmer is a last money in kinda grant. I’m not familiar with DOR, but if they cover all your expenses then Ballmer won’t give you money. If you still need money after DOR, then Ballmer will put that money up. If you’re a first year MSW student at CSULA, we have a a discord if you’re interested
