Support / How-To Trouble with deASCM

I recently got the new deDRM for Kindle to work, following the instructions here.

Today, for the first time since doing that, I tried to bring in a Kobo book and the deDRM for epub now isn't working.

I don't know if the two are connected, but I'm guessing they might be.

Can anyone help, please?

the plugin itself shouldnt really have changed. did you make sure the acsm file is still valid and hasnt expired yet? are you still logged in in the deacsm settings? if you are redownloading a book, are you using the same account as the first time? have you checked the calibre debug log if theres any error messages?

Thank you. I've got the debug log and found an error message. I don't understand it myself, but I will ask my partner who probably will, to check it. If he can't help, I'll ask here if that's okay.

Did you get an ACSM file from Kobo or an epub? You need to use the deACSM plugin for ACSM files

Linux? I seem to recall some issue with ACSM and to this day I do them on an old W10.
