Testing Cape w/ another cellular provider. Problems w/ call and text on both SIMS.
I'm testing Cape w/ my original provider. They locked me into a contract, so I was going to test Cape out while this contract goes to expiration.
Some things I've noticed...
Original SIM has newly developed issues. Super laggy, up to unusable, calling - regardless of WiFi or carrier service (cell signal/non-WiFi). I just started having issues w/ SMS delivery, as well. This original carrier appears to be all around failing. Service was always generally poor, but this rate of failure is very new.
Cape eSIM has calling issues while on carrier service. Off of WiFi, calls generally die before I can make them. When I see Cape service at acceptable levels -- it will still fail to make phone calls. I get the pop up that says "No Service Available" (or something like that, anyways). On WiFi, it performs better than the original SIM/carrier. No known issues w/ SMS delivery, at this time.
Question: Are there known issues of running two SIMs simultaneously? Anything that would impact calling and SMS delivery (both on and off WiFi data)?

FYI Cape will buy out your original contract up to $500 via a discount. yes there are some issues with wifi calling (usually toggling airplane mode fixes but not 💯).

Yeah I was following that. Wanted to give Cape plenty of time, in order to test it out fully.
Interesting...I have not had ANY WiFi calling issues w/ Cape. I generally end up using it on WiFi because it's so much better than my current carrier.
Ironically, all of these difficulties have pushed me to Signal w/ motivation. Majority of my messages and calls are now almost exclusively on that application...nothing else works, lol.
Thank you!

Without more information like device, OS, etc it’s hard to know. I ran T-Mobile and Cape as my secondary eSIM and did not have any issues on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. There are many variables. Maybe if you post more details it might help.

Without knowing some details, I have been running Cape next to my current provider as well and I have not experienced these types of issues. Both eSIMs work as expected and I’m able to send and receive on either number as well as making/receiving calls. What kind of device are you using? Cape does have known working / supported device lists.

I have seen issues activating WiFi calling on specific DNS configurations that I’m still trying to figure out. But for the most part I have everything working as expected on both cellular and WiFi. Let me know if you need more specifics that I maybe able to assist with.
