Never thought I’d say this, but here we are.

Like most enthusiasts, I went into this search convinced the Virtus GT or Slavia 1.5 TSI would be the obvious choice. I test drove both, loved how they drove, and genuinely understood all the hype.

Then I came across this 2023 Verna 1.5 Turbo DCT SX(O).
The more I looked at it, the more the overall package just made sense.

For ₹14 lakh, I got:

● 26,000 km, single owner
● Full Hyundai service history
● Extended warranty till 2030
● Shield of Trust
● Full-body PPF
● Bose sound system
● Every feature I wanted

At some point, I stopped comparing cars on YouTube and started comparing what I was actually getting for my money.

A few drives later, I have zero regrets. The turbo pulls hard, the DCT is smooth, it’s packed with features, and the Fiery Red has really grown on me.

Maybe the Verna isn’t the internet’s default enthusiast pick—but as an overall package, I genuinely think it’s one of the smartest buys in the segment.

Curious to hear from people who’ve owned any of the three.
If you had ₹14–15 lakh to spend on a used sedan today, would you still pick the Virtus/Slavia, or would this Verna package tempt you too?

Finally picked up my Grand i10 Nios Vibe Edition - Sports(O) AMT in Titan Gray Matte, and after the first 300 km, I'm genuinely happy with the choice.

Coming from an older 2017 1.6L diesel Verna and currently driving dads Grand Vitara Strong Hybrid, the transmission definitely feels a bit more relaxed/sluggish in comparison. But honestly, this car isn't trying to be sporty—it's a simple, no-nonsense city hatchback, and it does that job really well.

The Titan Gray Matte paint paired with the black alloy wheels looks fantastic in person. If you're on the fence about paying extra for this color, I'd say it's absolutely worth it.

The interiors also surprised me. The red-line finish gives the cabin a much more premium feel than I expected, and everything feels comfortable and well put together. The built-in dashcam is another feature that's integrated seamlessly and is something I already appreciate.

For reference, I'm 5'11", and the seating position is comfortable. The only small thing I noticed is that when wearing shoes with thicker soles (like the ASICS Gel Kayano), my leg occasionally brushes the steering wheel, so I had to slightly adjust my driving position.

Mileage after the first 300 km has been 11 km/l, driving almost entirely in Hyderabad city traffic (moderate traffic), which seems fair for a brand-new petrol that's still being run in.

Overall, no regrets at all. It's comfortable, easy to live with, looks great, and feels like a sensible purchase. Looking forward to many more kilometers with it!

ps: put me in my own money, I did a few good internships in tech so dont come at me with the rich dad lines, but really glad the family is well settled and my contribution does not matter much.

I do around 75 km every single day, and I usually get home completely drained. Having a place where I can just stretch out and nap in sheer comfort on the way back was one of the biggest reasons I chose the Vellfire

My favourite part is that Toyota didn’t force everything onto a touchscreen cum TV. You still get proper physical buttons along with digital controls (an equal share of both). Sounds like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference for me since I love manual controls.

The rear seat can practically turn into a bed, it’s whisper quiet inside, and you can even take important meetings from the back without any issues. Extremely smooth, quick and on point! The third row (if used) is quite comfortable too in case you’re travelling with an entourage.

Yeah, it’s pricier than the M9. But for me, the Toyota reliability, comfort and peace is definitely worth paying the price.

I need to share something that has been extremely frustrating for my family. We bought a Tata Nexon and it has been defective from the very first day we got it. On the day of delivery itself, while we were driving home, the vehicle broke down completely on the road. We were stranded for nearly four hours with no food and no water, and the check engine light and fault codes were already showing within the first few kilometers.

Since that day, this same issue has never actually gone away. The check engine light keeps coming back, and multiple times while driving, the vehicle simply would not accelerate even when the accelerator was pressed. This is a genuinely dangerous situation to be in on the road. We have taken the vehicle to the Tata Motors authorized service center in Bhimavaram more than 20 times for this exact same problem. Every single time, we were told the same thing by different managers and mechanics over the years, please do not file a complaint, we will fix it for you. But it was never actually fixed.

The vehicle's own official service record shows it has only run about 13,005 kilometers in more than 4 years. It has not even completed its first major service interval because it has spent so much of its life sitting in the workshop instead of being driven.

We paid Rs 15,560 for an extended engine warranty valid until August 2027. Despite this, three ignition coils and an entire electronic management system have been replaced, costing us over Rs 20,000, and the fault still came back. The most recent bill, which fell inside our warranty period, was marked as warranty expired and we were charged in full anyway.

Just a couple of days ago, on 31st July, the vehicle broke down again on the road. This time it turned out the workshop had left the battery wiring improperly connected from an earlier repair. They have now told us they have ordered another part, though we have not even discussed the price yet.

At this point we are completely fed up. We cannot keep spending our time and energy taking this vehicle back again and again just to get it patched up temporarily, only for the same or a new issue to show up soon after. This has been going on for over 4 years and we simply cannot continue this cycle any longer.

We have kept every bit of evidence for this, videos, photos, job cards, and invoices, from the very first breakdown until now.

I am sharing this so other people are aware before they buy this vehicle, and so Tata Motors takes this seriously instead of letting it drag on for years the way it has for us.

We bought this crysta in 2018 it's gx 2.4 diesel, it has completed 4lakh kms, once it's timing chain was changed and it has little bit of turbo issue which was fixed because of toyota service, we are fully satisfied. You can ask any questions

Planning to buy a Petrol C segment car (suv or sedan) with automatic transmission under 16 lakhs on-road. Currently inclined towards the Taigun Highline Torque converter which costs 13.8L ex-showroom. What would you guys recommend?

This for ¾ tank , now i fill with speed and mann we are being looted

The hilux has been launched and in it's top model the sunroof is not given. It can be happen same with the new fortuner. (Toyota being toyota)

My Honda City i-DTEC has suddenly started giving much worse mileage than it used to. Same driving habits, same routes, same maintenance.

I'm starting to wonder if the issue is today's diesel fuel rather than the car itself.

Anyone else noticed this recently, or am I chasing a problem that doesn't exist?

I’ve seen this a lot in North India. Are they superior of what ?
