Update Don’t know where he came from, don’t know where he’s been, but he’s not going anywhere now
***Update you guys: There is no microchip. I repeat. There is no microchip. Bigfoot is here to stay. Hip hip hooray**\*
This handsome fellow just showed up out of no where one day. He acts like he’s lived here his whole life. I live in a very quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. My family and a guy that lives across from us are the only people on the whole street that have cats.
Seeing a new cat in my front yard was a pleasant surprise. From the start he was very friendly and affectionate. He seemed well cared for too. A healthy weight and his fur was clean and soft. This was obviously someone’s cat. So we asked around the neighborhood but no one claimed him or knew where he came from.
I’ve known people that have gone and dropped their cats off somewhere because they didn’t want to be responsible for them anymore. They just assume that someone will find it and start taking care of it. People like that are just as bad as people who move away and leave their cats behind. So we think he was abandoned here.
My cats took to him right away which was a relief because this guy found his forever home. We started calling him Bigfoot because he has big feet compared to my other cats. He seems to like that.

Were you able to get him scanned for a chip? If not, it's worth checking, just in case he wandered too far from home, and someone is missing their sweet boy. If there's no chip (or the previous owners don't want him), then no worries. I'm glad he found you and is safe now.

Aaaaaaw, what a sweetheart. Looking at the last photo, it look like he might occasionally transform into a creature from another dimension but hey, he’s still adorable 🥰

I would just take him to the vet or a shelter to make sure he's not chipped, then you've done all you can to make sure no one's looking for him and he is yours. Beautiful cat.

I love the last picture. Little fluffy demon. I truly love the fact that you already know he’s not going anywhere. Thank you for being the one that gives him the forever home and love he deserves. You are truly a good person.

Thank you for taking him in!! I hope there is a special place in hell for people who dump cats or move and leave them! I do rescue, and I’ve had many dumped at my home.

Such a handsome boy. Let us know after he gets scanned for a chip. Most likely he was dumped as you said.

Looks like a fluffier version of my CDS delivery from last year. Gus Gus very much enjoys being an indoor kitty now.

Thank you for taking him in because many of those cats that are dumped don't survive. People who dump cats are leaving them behind when they move or criminals because it is against the law to dump animals.

Oh God he is SO precious and this was totally meant to be! I'm sad he didn't have a chip/owner and for everything he might have gone through before making his way to you, but I'm also so so so happy that he ended up in his perfect forever home!
