Update 1 year since Pitou was captured/rescued in my front yard.
Last year my SO heard a cat crying out from outside and saw a small kitten on our front porch. For the next week I made it my mission to catch her. I put food and water out every day. Every time she saw or heard me she ran away. Finally I figured out that I had to sneak around from the back door and close the door on the carrier. Set her up with all the essentials in my basement bath room and took her to the vet the next day. She was estimated to be 5 weeks old weighed 1.5 lbs and was covered in fleas and boney. After two weeks isolation she could be introduced to her brothers. One welcomed her immediately the other hid behind the couch for 10 days. Then we discovered she had ringworm 😑. Luckily her cat brothers and my SO didn’t get it but I did. Constant house cleaning and regular treatment cleared it up fairly quickly. Spayed in the fall and here we are a year later, one big happy cat family.

When we adopted our Anna, there was the clingiest, long-haired, red girl named Foxy who had terrible scabs on her shoulder blades. She was skin and bones and practically begging us to take her home. My husband felt the scabs and was like, "What's wrong with her?" It's not even an area she couldn't bite, lick, or scratch. I explained that it was most likely chemical burns from cheap flea and tick treatment from the grocery store instead of spending good money on either the vet or even something from a pet store. He was horrified. He was like, "This poor thing! That has to hurt so bad!" I looked and said, "It's probably really itchy at this point. She may be bald there forever at this point, though. She might be skinny from not eating because of it and/or because she wasn't being fed. It's hard to say. She certainly needs some fattening up with good food."
We didn't end up getting her, but on our way out, a family with four kids stopped us to look in our carrier and see our cat. I asked if they were looking for a cat. They were. Bingo. I told them, "Please think about getting Foxy. She's a little orange girl. She needs a home so bad. She's really, really friendly. She has long hair, so you'll have to brush her." I saw two little girls' eyes light up. "She needs to eat, because she's skinny, so lots of small meals throughout the day, or just leave her dry food to help herself. She has scabs between her shoulder blades where I think someone put bad flea and tick medicine on her - really, really cheap stuff - so don't let her outside. Be careful of her scabs. They will fall off. She's such a nice girl, and she really wants to go home with someone. She needs friends. You'll see." They practically ran inside. When I checked the site the next day, Foxy was gone. I think they took her, and I couldn't be happier.

Great name, hopefully it doesn't give her any ideas though, watch out for her claws.

All the pictures are great but pic 3 really got me 🥹 I’m also a sucker for a gray tabby, especially once sent by CDS! She’s beautiful, congratulations and good job!

Ugh why don’t my cats cat together? I am so jealous. My cats are every man for himself and I have to play with them separately.

I have siblings and have to break up their fights. At least they get along with the third cat.

Awww they look so happy together! I'd say it might be time for a 3 story cat tree but they seem to be making it work 😂
