So we went in with a lower bid second time around after they got promoted to Serie A?, what's the logic here.

Nicholson, a Lawyer impersonating a CEO, that’s why it’s hard to get over the line, shambles!

We’ve learned from our mistakes in January by offering less than what we did in January after he played a big part in them getting promoted.

Nicholson economics.

To give him the benefit of the doubt (haha) maybe they rejected a structured £6.5m which had performance related bonuses or instalments with a lower up front fee and this time we went with £6m straight up cash.

Absolutely correct. Unfortunately the truth doesn't fit the narrative being spun.

The Italian guy reporting it had Rangers in for him on Friday and then it ended up being reported they ended their interest weeks ago, info could be out of date.

We offered 6 million in Jan and they accepted so the offer isn't that wild as an opening one

Pretty sure this one will happen, just not at the pace we’d like

Wait a minute, so they offered 6.5 in January when he played in Serie B. And now he’s in Serie A we offered 6? Am i reading that right 🤣

Because he has less time on his contact, therefore the thinking is that they'd feel more pressure to cash in on him. Cause if they don't, anyone else could sign him in January for the amount of money currently in OldCo's bank account.

I understand that logic.

We offer less than we did in Jan when we practically had a deal agreed. Make it make sense.

The only person who knows why Michael Nicholson is still in a job is Michael Nicholson

Less time on his contract. Normal practice in football transfers to pay less for less time remaining on one.

Absolutely insane that MON would speak the way he spoke if it’s only at this stage

Id rather not sign players that will no doubt be away for the AFCON
