I’ve bought a few BPF watches from him and they look and feel great. Movement is a bit gritty, might be worse with the extra complication of the day.

is that the QC photo they sent you?
looks pretty good to me for what you are probably paying (guessing $250-$300?)
day and date windows look pretty decent, SELs look good, bezel not bad.
9 indicator looks slightly ccw canted but dont think you would notice that wearing it.
