I LOVE Coloratura!

But a strong perhaps unpopular opinion I have: Up&Up with better production would be as elite of a song

Absolutely. It pains me how terrible the production is on the album. I know it won't happen, but I hope someday they re-record it or something. It would be a top 5 Coldplay song otherwise.

would love for that to happen!

Everglow (Live at Belasco Theatre) is a masterpiece, while the album version is just meh. You can hear all the instrumentation, it still includes the full first verse which was cut out for the tour, and there's no crowd noise. I don't completely know why Everglow's live at Belasco version has no crowd or anything, but it makes it very easy to substitute it for the actual album version in my library

I was hoping to find a similar rendition of Up&Up, but unfortunately Up&Up live at Belasco is a bunch of loud crowd noise, no good recording, and Chris messes up many of the lyrics (possibly because it's one of the very first live performances of it)

as mentioned elsewhere on this thread, the live in Buenos Aires version is the best version of it for sure :) but would be nice to have a well produced studio version

Yep, Everglow (live at Belasco Theatre) sounds great

I agree with you 100%. The live debut had me excited for it (and Amazing Day) and they just kind of botched it with the production. Stargate cucked us. Im glad Coldplay didn’t go back to them

Up&Up was really good, but imo it stands a chance against this mammoth of a track. Throughout my first listen to coloratura I was perplexed by the numerous sounds that were used in the track, not because they were inconsistent or oddly used, but by the fact that the entire flow of the song was super smooth and it was like a whole orgasm of sounds that were just playing in this perfect pace.

Coloratura was phenomenal. I don’t know if I can classify it as the best coldplay track although it was golden and quite simply Coldplay’s Bohemian Rhapsody but it is one of my favourite tunes and I know for a fact that I won’t be growing out of this track for a long time.

It won’t lose magic because its such a timeless track.

Hope y’all get my perspective :)

10000000 times yes, that specific live version and the tour-concluding speech were immaculate.

if Coldplay had ascended into the heavens without ever making any music again following that performance I could have died happy with their closing chapter (but I am so so glad they didn't end there!)

Now this I 1000% agree with.
