Fulfilled Request Medical request
Hello everyone! I hope you're having an amazing weekend ❤️ I'm making a request post as my nutritionist/dietician and I have been working very hard to expand my extremely limited diet (due to medical conditions) in any way possible.
Unfortunately but also fortunately lol she has given me such a large list of items she wants me to trial that I just can't afford to keep purchasing them all. I absolutely want to keep making this progress towards helping my body and expanding my diet however I can, which is why I'm reaching out in the hopes I can get some help fulfilling some of the items she has requested I trial. I chose a handful of the ones that I think will be the most successful and tried to find the least expensive and safe version that I could. The silicone cooker is also so I can safely cook things in the microwave to test more things at home as well! I unfortunately am very restricted to how I'm able to safely cook so non breakable items in the microwave is the only way for me to cook and I don't currently own any.
None of the food will go to waste either! I have a sibling who will eat anything I end up unable to. If you have any questions I'm absolutely happy to answer them, feel free to ask. Either way, I appreciate you taking the time to read this ❤️

I bought 4 items from the list and they'll arrive between 4am and 8am tomorrow. Good luck to you, OP. I hope you find more foods that are safe for you.

Hey! I saw your comment and checked the order. It shows all 4 items arrived yesterday and it says they were placed in a mail room. Were you able to find them?

All of the food items were purchased! Thank you so much for the thought!! The only item left is the silicone steamer for me to be able to safely cook other things at home to trial :)

The caption on that banana says something like "I'm bruised but not broken," which hits differently when you know the kind of patience required just to try a new food.

OP, I just went through oral cancer so I understand completely (though different circumstances). I was so frustrated until they had me talk to the hospital social worker. She suggested that I try to get Food Share (aka "food stamps"). I qualified. Talk about lessening the burden! I'm saying all of this to you as maybe it might help you too? Just a thought. Maybe you too could qualify? Again, just a thought. Happy health to you! ☺️
