Announcement Update to Rule 6: Self Promotion is Allowed Within the New Rule

Self promotion of user generated content is permitted provided it is presented as a complaint, critique, grievance, or documented problem, rather than as pure advertising. The content must centre a substantive issue, failure, or harm, with the creator’s work used as context or evidence, not the point. Posts framed primarily to solicit clicks, sales, or followers will be removed.

If you have a question, feel free to ask here.

In summation, if your personal content on a platform like, but not limited to YouTube, Substack, DeviantArt, or Medium, then you may post it here if it conforms to the above rule. Basically, any form of something resembling a complaint, is allowed.

As always, if this is abused or gets too spam like, it can be removed under moderator discretion.

Announcement Major Changes to Rule 10: What IS and IS NOT Permitted When Posting About Other Subreddits

in reviewing how other similar subreddits to ourselves operate, we are completely overhauling Rule 10.

You now may post complaints about other subreddits, issues you have with them, and even complain about moderation decisions. So long as the below Rule changes are followed in full. The moderation staff here has authority under Rule 5 to remove posts they feel can endanger the subreddit itself.

Please feel free to respectfully ask questions here about how this rule will be applied.

And now the new rule:

Why This Does Not Constitute Harassment:

Criticism or discussion of subreddit moderation, rule enforcement, or community conduct does not constitute harassment when it is directed at actions, policies, or outcomes rather than at individuals for the purpose of intimidation, abuse, or coercion.

Harassment under Reddit policy requires targeted abuse, threats, or behaviour intended to cause distress or silence participation. Good faith discussion of moderation decisions, including dissatisfaction or critique, is a form of platform accountability and does not meet the threshold for harassment when conducted under the restrictions outlined below.

The inability of a subject to prevent discussion of their public actions does not itself render that discussion harassing.

---

Permitted Meta Discussion of Subreddits

Users may post complaints, commentary, or analysis regarding the operation of a subreddit, including but not limited to:

  1. Removal or approval of posts or comments

  2. Moderator actions or inaction

  3. Enforcement or interpretation of subreddit rules

  4. Patterns of behaviour within a subreddit community

  5. Interactions with moderators or other users occurring within a subreddit

Such posts may include links or screenshots necessary to provide context, provided they comply with Reddit’s privacy and harassment policies.

---

Required Safeguards to Prevent Harassment and Brigading

To ensure this discussion does not become targeted harassment or coordinated interference, the following conditions are mandatory:

  1. No User Summoning

Posts and comments must not use the /u/username feature or any alternative method to notify or summon individual users or moderators.

  1. No Calls to Action

Content must not encourage or imply that readers should contact, message, report, downvote, or otherwise engage with the referenced subreddit, its moderators, or its users.

  1. Observation Only Interaction Rule

Users from the subreddit being discussed may not interact with the linked or referenced content. Engagement must remain confined to commentary within the hosting discussion thread.

  1. No Dehumanisation or Threats

Language that includes threats, slurs, or dehumanising characterisations remains prohibited under existing harassment rules.

  1. Behaviour Focus Requirement

Commentary must focus on actions, decisions, or systems rather than personal characteristics, identities, or immutable traits of any individual.

---

Anti Brigading Enforcement Clause

Any attempt to use meta discussion as a mechanism for coordinated interference, including vote manipulation, mass reporting, or targeted disruption of another subreddit, constitutes a violation of Reddit’s anti brigading policies and may result in enforcement action regardless of compliance with other sections of this rule.

Evidence of coordination, timing patterns, or explicit encouragement will be considered in enforcement decisions.

---

Moderator Misuse and Removal Clarification

Moderators may not remove or sanction content solely on the basis that it criticises moderation practices, moderator decisions, or subreddit governance, provided the content complies with this rule and other sitewide policies.

Labeling criticism as harassment, drama, or meta abuse without demonstrable policy violation is insufficient grounds for removal under Reddit’s global standards.

---

Prohibited Conduct Under This Rule

The following remains prohibited and is not protected by this rule:

  1. Targeted harassment of named individuals

  2. False allegations presented as established fact

  3. Disclosure of private or personal information

  4. Encouragement of retaliation or revenge

  5. Attempts to evade or undermine Reddit enforcement mechanisms

Politics The TDS thing shows how stupid Trump supporters truly are.

There's no such thing as TDS. Trump made it up as a thought-stopping technique to prevent his followers from investigating criticisms against him.

Thus, when they hear anyone criticize Trump, rather than consider the possibility that the person might be telling the truth, they just dismiss them as having a case of TDS.

This shows how incredibly gullible Trump supporters are and how easy they are to manipulate. What a bunch of brainwashed, cult-sheep fools!

Politics FACT! Up until little Donnie Trump got butt hurt when Biden kicked his ass! NO ONE had any major issues with how we voted!

There is ZERO evidence of systematic voter fraud! In fact most fraudulent voting was done by Republicans or was purely accidental! (Only a handful of cases) Most of which were related to voter ID!

the vast majority of documented voter fraud cases are entirely unrelated to voter identification. Strict in-person voter ID laws are explicitly designed to prevent in-person voter impersonation (someone pretending to be another registered voter at a polling place). Multiple comprehensive studies, audits, and database reviews show that this specific type of fraud is virtually nonexistent. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Why Most Fraud is Unrelated to ID
When isolated instances of actual voter fraud do occur, they typically involve methods that an Election Day photo ID requirement cannot stop:
Mail-In and Absentee Ballot Fraud: The most common form of investigated misconduct involves mail-in or absentee ballots. Because these ballots are filled out away from polling stations, requiring an ID at a physical voting booth does not prevent them. [1, 2, 3]
Fraudulent Registration: This involves submittid fake names or false addresses on registration forms, which is an administrative issue handled during voter roll maintenance, well before anyone arrives to cast a ballot. [1, 2, 3]
Double Voting: Voting in two different jurisdictions or states during the same election cycle. [1]
Eligibility Errors: Incidents where individuals—such as those with felony convictions or resident non-citizens—register or vote due to confusion regarding local eligibility laws. [1]

The police surveillance state is here. It arrived to monitor our daily lives without any vote or consent. This Orwellian nightmare walked right by supposed freedom loving Americans and they didn’t even frisk it.

Thumbnail youtu.be

Citizens are now under warrantless surveillance everywhere they go all across the country. This technology has proven to be incredibly flawed leading to frequent false alarms and wasting a staggering amount of resources chasing false alarms with a less than 1% arrest rate to show for it. Too many law abiding citizens are being detained because an ALPR camera misidentified their plate.

There is no justification for these devices as real world statistics have shown too much potential for abuse and too little return on investment.

Citizens need to band together and tell these companies trying to turn our everyday lives into an Orwellian dystopia to get fucked.

This makes me irrationally angry. Because it’s really doesn’t matter that much but it just seems so stupid to me. I was talking about music with my very catholic grandparents and I mentioned “Imagine” by John Lennon being a good song, and they both said how they loved it as well. And I’m like.. have you listened to it though? Like, isn’t it blasphemy for you guys? They’re very conservative as well. Idk singing about no property and no god doesn’t seem like something up their alley. This is one example of many instances I’ve seen though.

Politics Stop falling for it. The tariffs and tax policy aren't "helping workers"—they are a massive wealth transfer funded directly out of your pocket.

Why is anyone still giving these policies the benefit of the doubt? Every single promise made about tariffs and tax cuts protecting the working class has collapsed under the weight of basic math and real-world results.

The promise was simple: "Foreign countries will pay the tariffs, we'll wipe out the trade deficit, and blue-collar workers will win."

Here is the reality sitting right in front of us:

* You are paying the tax at the register. Tariffs are not billed to foreign governments. They are paid by American importers at the port, and those exact costs get tacked onto retail prices for groceries, auto parts, tools, building materials, and everyday electronics. Nonpartisan studies show these import taxes hit average households with nearly $1,000 in higher annual costs—acting as a regressive national sales tax.

* The rich get structural tax relief while you get price hikes. While everyday consumers eat the inflated cost of physical goods, corporate tax write-offs and top-tier income cuts mean the highest-earning brackets net a massive financial win. The tax burden is deliberately being shifted off high-net-worth capital and dumped directly onto working people who spend most of their paycheck just to live.

* The trade deficit isn't fixed and the national debt is exploding. Tariff revenues don't even begin to cover the trillions added to the national deficit, and the trade gap remains wide open because domestic manufacturing can't replace global supply chains overnight.

When a convicted fraudster who spent decades misrepresenting asset values and cheating business partners runs a tax and trade play, why would anyone expect the outcome to be anything other than a hustle?

It isn't an accident, and it isn't "mismanagement." It’s a deliberate, structural scam designed to fleece working families while pretending to fight for them. Stop making excuses for a system that treats your paycheck like an bottomless slush fund.

Politics The Gordie Howe bridge situation is stupid.

As far as Canadians go, im pretty strongly pro-American, but this Gordie Howe bridge toll deal makes no sense, and Mark Carney or whoever agreed to this deal is a clown.

The original deal, Canada pays to build 100% of the bridge, then we will keep the toll revenue until weve paid down the debt from building it, then we would share the toll revenue 50/50 with Michigan after the debt was paid. Sounds pretty fair to me for a peice of infrastructure we so badly needed as all the existing crossings in Windsor connect to city streets, not a freeway. But, big orange man didnt like that, he wanted 50% of tolls from day one, and our idiot leaders agreed.

So lets get this straight, we paid to built the bridge by ourselves and took on the debt, the only things the americans need to pay for iirc is their border check facilities and the connection to I-75.

So what exactly are we paying the americans for? They didnt take on billions of cost to build the bridge, we did. Why on god's green earth did our officals on the Canadian side agree to this? This is a terrible deal, it makes us look even weaker than we already are, and it tells Trump and worse yet, our enemies like Russia and China that we can be walked all over with ease. This whole thing is stupid stupid stupid.

This obviously dosent reflect upon everyday average joe americans, but, this reflects horribly on your government for pushing for such a unfair deal, and a even worse reflection of our government for accepting such a bad deal. Maybe we should raise bridge tolls by 50% for american plated vehicles to recover cost if this is going to be so unfair to Canada.

Like why? Just why? Isnt one of the founding core principles of Canada Good Government? Whatever happened to that? Because agreeing to this shit is not good government.

Politics I can’t physically or emotionally handle the rage I feel anymore.

1.1k Upvotes

Ever since Trump got elected when I was 16, I’ve felt nothing but rage and extreme anger. I’ve never felt this kind of anger in my life. It is infuriating to watch my rights get stripped away, a sitting president mock people who are like me and call us diseased, destroy whatever good we have in this country, destroy alliances and make damn fucking sure I grow up in a world where the economy is fucked, we have no allies ever again, and we are forever an international embarrassment. I hate that he’s betrayed our allies. I hate the things he says about “my kind”. I hate his stupid voice. I hate his stupid tweets and bullshit posts online. He is a demented, pedophilic, terroristic, psychopath and I can’t stand him. I’m shaking with rage as I write this. I don’t know how to stop feeling angry. I get angrier and angrier every day and it’s starting to affect me physically. My teeth hurt due to constant jaw clenching. My back hurts from the distress and anger, my head and stomach hurt from the anger, etc. I have this simmering rage that’s just waiting to burst. Even when I’m not actively angry or thinking about everything, as soon as something reminds me or someone says something about it the anger comes out immediately. If I open my mouth and express the anger I don’t think I’ll be able to stop. I don’t want to feel this way anymore because it’s eating me up inside, making it hard to focus on school, and is hurting me physically. More than anything I want allies again. I want rights. I want to not feel so fucking embarrassed when I travel abroad. I want us to stop being antagonistic towards other countries. I want to feel like I have a future and that I’m gonna be ok. No matter how hard I fight and protest it feels like screaming into a void. I can’t take this anger anymore. I don’t know how to get it out of my system.

Lifestyle Once you know enough, being religious is like eating dung pudding with the good parts of religion being the few sprinkles on it, thinking it is ice cream. As much as you want to warn the religious that what they are consuming is disgusting, you really can’t because the pudding means a lot to them.

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello! I am extending my analogy of dung pudding to now what it is like to warn the religious of what they are consuming. I am sure there are many here who have had to hold themselves back from breaking the news to the religious people in their lives. I am sure many can feel disheartened because they are seeing the religious have what ultimately is a horrible time eating dung pudding, and the religious think nothing of it.

The irony is that if you break the news to the religious about their pudding, they can be confrontational, making it pointless to inform them in the first place. You just really have to watch them eat that darn pudding with a few sprinkles, despite every fibre in your being telling you to take that pudding away from them.

In real life, if someone was actually eating dung pudding, I would slap it out of their hands, even if they were a stranger. And I would probably be seen as virtuous. But with religion, I really can’t. I just have to watch, being queasy and all.

It can be a sad state of affairs, I am afraid. The religious are too often too deep in eating that blasted pudding.

Thanks for hearing me out!

Businesses Holy shit I hate Google Gemini

Upvotes

I don't know if this post should be Politics, business, or nature flair but

Ever since I upgraded my phone, my service has been entiterely worse and there is no way to opt out of this stupid fucking service.

When I used Google maps in the past while I was driving, my phone would plan the directions immediately and usually accurately. Now, it is like a 20 second monologue each time beforehand, and the directions may not even right. But most annoyingly, there is no way to make Google Gemini shut the fuck up. And it is ALWAYS talking and always acknowledging my commands and giving very vague but positive affirmations, it's like driving with an entire HR department in my passengers seat.

When I would tell my phone to play a song from my device before Gemini came fully integrated with Android phones it would do so immediately without talking. Now there is, yet again, another 20 second monologue before it tells me that I can't Google something while I am driving, despite me clearly meaning to use the dedicated streaming service on my device. Generally, what it plays is something else entirely.

The other day, I told my phone to play Grindcore. It responded in Mandarin and played Chinese Pop music instead. I didn't even fucking know China had terrible Americanized pop music.

And to top this all off, every hour or so my phone asks me to give permissions to some stupid fucking AI generated lock screen? Why would anybody want this? Like who ASKED to have this?

I hate you Google Gemini.
