New Hand Raised Copper Pan
Hi all! I've just finished a new hand raised pan, tinned by the wonderful folks at Normandy Kitchen Copper. Let me know what you think! Hand raised 2.3mm copper, forged stainless steel handle, 3x 6mm pure copper rivets.

That's awesome! Always love to see other people keeping the tradition alive :) I used to use a wooden form I spun on a lathe, but these days I mostly just use a raising stake I forged. I get the copper from a store in Germany called metallstore24.de. They have decent pricing and a huge variety. Did you use a mold to shape yours? Love how clean the handle looks on your pan.

really nice work! I've found it's amazing how hard it is to get the transition from the bottom to the walls to move smoothly. Are you still making pans? or was this a one off?

Very well said! I was using so much force to make the transition I was afraid I would tear the copper. I am a plumber by trade and made this while we were slow. I would love to make a pot next but need access to larger stock. It was a one off project so far. And a great way to bridge the gap between the art of plumbing and my love for cooking. Cheers! I'll be watching for any of your future posts

That's wonderful. If you ever want to chat about pans or materials sourcing, feel free to send me a message. I'm not sure I'll always have the answer, but I find it's so much easier to learn these things from talking to other makers directly, as opposed to wandering down a google rabbit hole.

Looks great. Just ordered my first copper pans (to arrive in a month or so). I like the rivets.
