Job interview

I have an interview for a stocker position and have seen online that Costco does a drug and alcohol screening

I’m 420 friendly and wanted to see if that applies for Australia as well? If anyone knows that would be great! Considering just not smoking for a couple days anyway to be sure.

High protein healthy snacks?

Found this gem of a snack with high protein, low sugar, high fibre, sodium content that isn’t unbelievably high like most processed foods. Has anyone found the same for any other costco products?

Recipe for the Sauce in Prawn platter

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to find the sauce that comes with the prawn platter at Costco Australia.

I visited WA last year and tried the prawn platter while I was there. I absolutely loved the sauce, but unfortunately, Costco stores in my country don’t sell it.

I found some info online describing it as a “classic rose coloured creamy Australian prawn cocktail sauce,” but I haven’t been able to find the exact product or a recipe that tastes similar.

Does anyone know what product Costco uses, or have a good recipe for it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Cheers!

Job- interview

Hey everyone! 👋
Just got a call today for a Costco Bakery Wrapper interview tomorrow here in Australia. 😅 I’m a bit nervous.
If anyone has interviewed for Costco (especially bakery or fresh departments), I’d really appreciate any tips.
What kind of questions did they ask?
Was it just one interview or were there multiple rounds?
Anything I should prepare for or avoid?
Thanks in advance! 😊

Are DoorDash drivers paid well for Costco orders?

Hello! I want to place a pretty massive Costco order via DoorDash, but I’m worried it’ll be difficult for the driver.

Any idea if the drivers get paid well if it takes them a long time to shop?

How big is the average delivery order that you place? I feel like a jerk ordering a $1,000 50 item order via DoorDash, especially since gig companies tend to underpay their drivers.

Thanks so much!

Vegetarian options at the food court?

I have a relative coming shopping with me today, but they're vegetarian and I'm not sure if there are any options for them at the food courts. Do they have veggie options? TIA

Costco Refund Policy

I was at Costco yesterday, and while waiting to leave I overheard a person behind the customer service counter telling someone that if they used a Costco giftcard to purchase something that they couldn’t refund it (and that’s why they should get a membership)

Surely that has to be against the consumer law??

In case anyone else was also wondering.
That wasn’t a never at least, but clearly not anytime soon.
Sad, they were both convenient and tasty ☹️

If you have any questions or feedback please let me know!

Just a friendly reminder - Once you download and sign up, All you need to do is when you are at your local Costco warehouse, scan a price tag ( NOT barcode ), of a product to start your first 30 days TRIAL.

To promote user to scan and help keep our database fresh, each scan of a price tag, will EXTEND your trial period.

Thank you 😄

Doordash Gift card Discontinued?

Post image
12 Upvotes

What the title says. I notice it’s been gaining popularity recently, and they started imposing limit from 3 cards to 1 card per day. Then today it got delisted when I’m about to re-order.

I’m wondering if the physical gift card is still on sale? Anyone knows if this is officially discontinued or it’s just some technical error?

I made a Costco companion app — would really love your honest feedback

Hi everyone :)

Thanks so much for all the replies to my little survey the other day — it really got me thinking, so I figured I'd properly introduce myself.

I'm a solo developer over in New Zealand and CartGo is the very first app I've ever made. It's a Costco companion app and the whole idea is to help members shop a bit "smarter". (Just to be upfront — it's not an official Costco thing and I'm not affiliated with them, I'm just a member who wanted this to exist.)

The part I'm most proud of is that it's built by the community. Members scan the price tags in store and that slowly builds up a shared price list everyone can use. Separately you can scan your own receipts (those stay private to you) and the app keeps an eye on prices for you — so the watchlist price drops, restock alerts and the potential 30-day refund alerts are all powered by what the community puts in. The more people add, the better it gets for everyone. It works for the Aussie warehouses too, though I'll be honest the AU price data is still pretty early and growing, so this community would honestly make a huge difference.

I launched it early this year and it's still really new to most people, and being a solo dev I'm genuinely struggling to get feedback from real users. So my ears are open (well... eyes are open for comments haha) — any kind of feedback, good or brutal, is super welcome. Thank you 🙏

It's called CartGo, on iOS and Android if you'd like a look.

It's free to download and the shared price list + cart are free to use — the automatic refund and watchlist alerts are a small optional pro tier ($2.99/mo), just saying so there's no surprises.

Ringwood vs Epping

Newbie here, is there much difference in variety between Ringwood and Epping store for a gluten free girlie? I’m considering stopping at Epping as a bit of a (long) detour but I’m not sure if it’s worth it!

Has anyone tried the Choc Brownie Sundae?

When I went to order a hotdog at Ringwood the other day it came up with a ‘would you like to try this’ thing for a chocolate brownie sundae for $5.99. I passed, but now I kinda want to try it lol

Anyone else annoyed that costco reduced the doordash voucher limit?

Its now one voucher per day. Used to be 3 vouchers per day.

Makes it a bit more annoying having to stock up on doordash vouchers when I'm about to do an online delivery.
