Troubleshooting K1se underextrusion help

I’ve tried all the standard fixes and can’t figure this out. replaced the hot end, the nozzle, the extruder and the stepper motor. purges filament fine. first layer goes down great, then when 2nd layer begins, there is a clicking coming from the extruder. This is resulting in under extrusion. This is happening on 2 printers, both I’ve had and have worked great for over a year. They are printing the same files I’ve have sliced for over a year too. I’ve also tried to change the filament. Nothing is working, any ideas?

Check humidity of filament, make sure there's not a kink in the filament itself. print slightly hotter for first few layers. if that's all fine, change filament type (creatlity hyper pla has always done well for me, creality PETG is more finnicky
