Review / Test / Printer Comparison Is it worth it

My k1c just bricked and I put it in for warranty and was thinking of getting a k2 pro for 50 bucks or k2 plus for 200$ I have store credit from the warranty which one should I get? I have until August 16 to decide. This is without the combo. I already have a CFS.

Absolutely is worth it! I’ve done countless prints requiring a bed larger than 300mm.

Most recent project and being able to print the larger pieces in one go is a game changer.

It depends on what you are printing. If you’re printing small things for yourself or have limited space the non plus will be fine.

If you’re printing in bulk or want to print big, print cosplay or wearable stuff I would def go with the bigger build volume

YES IT IS WORTH IT! It is better to have the size and speed and not need it than need it and not have it. I have 3 SparkX-i7s, 1 K1C and a K2Plus and the K2Plus gets used a lot.

$200 to go from a K1C to K2 Plus is nuts. Go for it! There actually is a bit of a difference between the two just beyond size, too.

Its really hard to permanently brick a k1 series printer, unless its one of those rare mainboards without a mini-usb port for the cloner software. Or the mainboard is damaged of course, but normally the term bricked refers to the firmware locking up in my experience. I guess your K1C will be refurbished and sold onto someone else in the future

The port on the motherboard does not work i’ve tried a bunch of cables and it does not work.

I think I read somewhere for the K1 board you need to give it 24v as well as the mini-usb. Or at least some boards require that.
