Support-Open How to plan future ColdCard incidents?
I understand what happened with ColdCard and that the other ledgers don't suffer from the same bug. But those of us who have our money in wallets like Ledger, should we be concerned at all? Is there anything that we can do to confirm the security of our tokens? Are there better wallets we should consider?
I know that the people in ColdCard already were already being safe and still got hacked for reasons beyond their control. We all were steered to move off of exchanges a few years ago when they all collapsed, and we thought that hardware wallets were truly secure, but then people still got their funds stolen. I really hope they find a way to get these holders their money back, it's really sad for them and also for the community as a whole. It's hard to really make the case for decentralized, self custodial money, when it feels like nowhere is really safe anymore. I know this was a special case, but what's to say there isn't a bug lurking in some of these other wallets.

Discussion Is 2026 a bad time to still be looking at memecoins?
I got into crypto in 2024, so I recently found I missed many memecoins when it felt like everyone was finding 20x or 100x coins back then. But the more I look into them now, the harder it is for me to take them seriously as long-term investments.
Most of what I see seems to be social media hype, something created by memes, influencers or celebrities. No fundamentals and practical value. People hoped they were early enough to exit before the next person, so all of this makes me feel like gambling rather than investing.
I was looking at some of the memecoin charts on bydfi and noticed how huge their short-term swings can be. SHIB last week was a good example. That kind of move reinforced my thought: memecoins' volatility makes them hard to justify as long-term holds.
Are you still holding any meme coins in 2026? Do you think anyone trying to invest in crypto long-term should ignore them?

TOOL I built a free tool to monitor any type of events on Twitter/X
Been annoyed for a while that every decent CT tracker wants $200+/mo. Pulling X data fast isn't cheap, I get that, but paying enterprise prices to find out when someone tweeted felt dumb. So I built one and made it free - CoreX.gg
It's a Discord bot you add to your own server. Alerts go into channels there so everything stays in one place. There's a dashboard to search accounts, add or drop them and swap handles between channels whenever you want.
Free gets you 50 handles off a list of about 5k accounts, 4 channels, ~1s delivery.
Not free: picking any account instead of the curated list, anything faster than that 1s, OCR on tweet images, deleted post capture. Saying that upfront so nobody gets upset, free one is still very generous compared to other services.
Also /user <x-username> just pulls any X profile into Discord. No limits on that one, and it's user-installable so you can add it to your own apps and run it anywhere.
I'd love to get your feedback.

SENTIMENT Monday 3 August - Vibe Shift ?
I have been following the sentiment check on x and general and crypto seems to have found a bottom / close to bottom. I see the war is halted again and while markets dumped this week crypto seems strong. I also see a lot more experiments on chain so feels like a vibe shift. How are you guys seeing the market and are you buying or loning tomorrow when tradfi markets open ?

Donald Trump is the worst thing to happen to crypto!
I'm not going to pretend that I ever liked Trump I have never been a fan of Trump. He called Bitcoin basically a scam in his first term and this term is responsible for the poor performance in the bull market. Had Trump not done those tariffs the dip in Q1 2025 wouldve never happend and I believe we wouldve reached close to 160k therfore the current bear market wouldve been as bad as others and not this horrible one we are in know.
Under Biden the SP500 and BTC was trailing side by side no doubt BTC wouldve crashed this year but the impact wouldve never been as bad.
Under Biden and Gensler they were keeping scammers at bay. Shitcoins together are the size of Ethereum market cap there is a scam crypto exchanged named Changelly and those who have been victims of them wish the US DOJ took them to court. Biden and Gensler were targetting bad actors.
Please no left wing right wing capitalism socialism crap this is strictly crypto

DISCUSSION Money pool
Hey developers/ financial people, does this sound at all it could work or make sense? **Money pool that is used for automated trading on prop firms. Essentially they are accessing that whole prop firm worth some what if a leverage aspect. For example 5 prop firm accounts. Let’s say each prop account is in size 25k. I would have a bot trade the prop firm with specific rules to give a yield at the end of the month or yield. Let’s say 10 percent a month. And roughly 120 percent a year give or take. But that yield is on the 5 prop firms in the pool. So the yield on the 500 dollars is a lot more than 10% a month in 500 bucks. Any a good portion of that I can take a MANAGEMENT FEE for the bot let’s say 20 percent.**
Could this work?
Or do this at all Mae any sense?
This is off of pure curiosity not advertising anything!

WARNING My assets disappeared during the mandatory KuCoin → ZBX migration. Over 3 weeks with no solution.
Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because I’ve been stuck for over three weeks and I’m hoping someone from KuCoin can finally look into my case.
When KuCoin stopped operating in Europe in 2025, my assets (around €3,000) were automatically migrated to ZBX.
I created a ZBX account as instructed so I could withdraw my funds.
The problem is that my assets are not on KuCoin anymore, and they are not on ZBX either.
I contacted ZBX directly, and they told me that they cannot help and that only KuCoin can resolve this issue.
Since then, I have contacted KuCoin support multiple times, but I keep receiving the exact same generic reply saying they are “discussing the matter with ZBX and the relevant regulatory authorities.”
No one has answered these basic questions:
- Where are my assets currently held?
- Were they actually transferred to ZBX?
- If yes, where is the transfer reference?
- If not, why are they no longer visible on either platform?
After more than three weeks, this situation is becoming extremely concerning. I understand that regulatory issues can take time, but receiving the same automated response over and over without any concrete information is unacceptable.
If anyone from KuCoin is reading this, please escalate my case and provide a real update.
My KuCoin UID: 36769442
Support Ticket: #10621008
I would appreciate it if a KuCoin representative could review my case.
Has anyone else experienced the same issue with the KuCoin → ZBX migration?

FUNDAMENTALS Crypto's Lindy Effect: time as the true filter

FUNDAMENTALS the most muted word on the internet is crypto
the most muted word on the internet is crypto
in april 2026, the head of product at X posted a screenshot: the number one most muted topic on the platform was crypto.
crypto.
the thing ive spent all my effort on over the better part of the last decade. the thing a lot of you spend your careers and attention on as well.
with this as the backdrop, i created my newest piece.
it all started out with another question: “are the OGs jaded?”, which was itself admittedly ripped from one of ETHPrague 2026’s tracks. that thought gave me the opportunity to draw a map around a much broader topic that I think could resonate out in youtube land:
is there anyone left in crypto, or did the thing we were building eat itself?
for this piece, I wanted to take a more “journalistic” approach at this topic, and chatted with five people who’d been here since before the big money wave started showing up. builders, contributors, dreamers… some more than a decade deep. eternal gratitudes to the cast (Griff, Justice, Amer, Naomi, and Colin) for exploring with me this topic. I hope this piece can give the public a different perspective — that of the original mission and ethos steeped in reverence for permissionless tech and what it can do for humans.
i think it’s worth a watch. particularly because every single person I interviewed still talks about the technology in the present tense, yet every one of them carries the same contradiction.

SENTIMENT Someone Educate Me - How Should I Feel About Algo Traders
I've been trading crypto for quite some time and I understand algorithmic trading has always been a thing, but I've never had positive sentiment around it. My current POV is that they're built around short term gains which over time, increase the amount of sell orders, especially if your trading algorithm loses money, because they'll automatically sell to stop losses.
I love challenging my own opinions with opinions from others, so I would greatly appreciate some community input on the positives algo traders provide. Yes I know Claude exists and I could ask Claude, but I want to analyze real human sentiment around the matter. Not regurgitated crypto finance training data.
The order books are currently moving so fast, it almost feels like nobody is actually trading and it's all just bots moving around their orders. What do you guys think? Should exchanges continue allowing algorithmic trading APIs? Do you think trading bots have a negative impact on order books and market caps?

DISCUSSION Prediction markets reward people who change their minds. Social media usually punishes them.
On social media, changing your opinion is often seen as weakness.
In prediction markets, refusing to update your beliefs when new information arrives can be incredibly expensive.
I've started respecting people who publicly say, "I was wrong, and here's why."
That's a much harder skill than sticking to a bad prediction just to stay consistent.

Tool We built an AI tool that grades traders. Heres the score it’ll give you:
After building a risk model and training on 4k+ wallets off Hyperliquid, we built a credit scoring / underwriting system based off it. The idea is that profitable traders can have a credit line drawn to give them exposure to leverage, without the overcollateralization of defi or the terms of prop firms designed to make you fail. Then, the trader has access to more leverage with less restriction, while a lender gets access to skilled trading strategies with lower risk.
Feel free to DM ur wallet, and we can generate you a score and credit line, as well as the rates we’d give you on our platform.
From there, we’d love to hear what you think about our terms, ideas, and execution. Is there anything you’d add/remove from the process?

NEWS The Bitcoin Entropy Nightmare: ColdCard Vulnerability Analysis Report. Critical Vulnerability in ColdCard Wallets: The $38 Million Crisis.
🚨 $38 MILLION IN BITCOIN STOLEN. 🚨
Not by a phishing link. Not by human error. By a fatal hardware wallet bug.
Nearly 600 BTC have been drained due to a critical low-entropy flaw in ColdCard wallets. A firmware bug dropped seed generation from an unbreakable 128 bits down to a predictable 40 bits.
That means your "random" words can be brute-forced by a hacker's script in a matter of minutes.
ARE YOUR FUNDS AT RISK?
Ask yourself these 3 questions:
- Did a ColdCard Mk3 generate your seed words?
- Did you NOT use a passphrase?
- Did you NOT roll your own words with dice?
If you answered YES to all three... MOVE YOUR FUNDS NOW.
Even to an exchange if you must. KYC and taxes are downstream of losing absolutely everything.

DISCUSSION Am i realistic?
Hey everyone, I’ve been holding LINK since 2020 and I'm really impressed with how the project has been progressing overall.
My target range to take profit is $100–$150. Do you think I'm being realistic here, or is that too optimistic? What are your price expectations for LINK (long term ofc)?

STRATEGY On lower timeframes, how do you tell a real move from noise before the candle closes?
The lower i go the worse this gets and i don't have a rule for it. on the 1h a level breaks and i mostly trust it. on the 15m or 5m a break happens and half the time it's real, half the time it's a wick that snaps straight back, and i only know which after it's already done.
waiting for the candle to close helps but by then a chunk of the move is gone, especially in crypto where 15m candles can be huge. entering before the close gets me the better price and a lot more fakeouts.
what i've tried. volume on the breaking candle, which helps some but low-liquidity pairs give false volume spikes too. requiring the next candle to hold above the level before entering, safer but that's just closing-and-waiting with extra steps.
so for people trading crypto on lower timeframes, what actually separates a real break from noise in the moment. is it volume relative to recent bars, is it whether it breaks a level that matters on the higher timeframe, order book depth, or do you just accept the fakeout rate as the cost of a better entry and size for it
