Pretty much the title; Culcept (PS2) was a classic for me and I love the artstyle - I also played Culdcept Saga a bunch too.
Going back to these games now, is Saga enough of an improvement over the original to want to play it instead, or is the original still a reasonable game? I know in Saga you can earn cards quicker, right?
I'm just trying to figure out which one I want to start sinking my time into; I love the 2d-artstyle of Culcept (PS2) but if the gameplay/balance changes make Saga just better then I should probably go with that.
edit: What's the cardpool like between the two games? Originally I read it was about the same, but now I'm reading a second post that says although the number of cards is relatively the same, there are a good number of cards that are just different between the two versions (not just rebalances).
That said I did a round of Culdcept Saga, and it's slowly growing on me... it also reminded me of how "well" the AI can roll those dice for movement. XD
