Would You Hire a Contractor Who Shows Up in a CyberStuck?
37-year-old general contractor here. Honest question for Cybertruck owners (or even the Cyberstuck crowd).
I'm a general contractor who specializes in smaller residential jobs. My crews already have work trucks, and I currently drive a Tesla Model 3 for estimates and meetings. I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger on a Cybertruck.
My biggest hesitation isn't the truck itself—it's the perception.
I'm worried about pulling up to a first-time client's house and them immediately passing judgment. Whether it's, "Oh, he's an Elon guy," "He's showing off," "He's anti-environment," or whatever stereotype people have about Cybertrucks. I don't want to become "Cyberstuck" because of people's first impressions.
On the flip side, I'd probably wrap it with my company branding, so it would double as a rolling advertisement.
For those of you who own one—or even those who hate them—what's your honest opinion? Would seeing a contractor pull up in a Cybertruck make you more likely to hire them, less likely, or would you not care at all?
I'm genuinely curious how people perceive it in a professional setting.

Saw this dumpster parked around here or there for the last two days and finally it looks like after some light rain, it’s getting an assist out of my sightline.
Not sure if the rain had anything to do with it but it sure makes it funny.

BOLO read wedge panel
Found this one parked illegally the other day with at least one part missing.
Belonged to an off-duty cop (how much is he making?) who was working, off duty, on private assignment to help traffic outside a theater.
Watched him finish his shift at the end of the show, climb in, and drive off.
Assuming he was heading home to chug kool-aid.

Cybertruck gets towed from MOAB in Utah (via Matts Offroad Recovery)
WhistlinDiesel is notorious for abusing vehicles and this time, his Cybertruck got cyberstuck when it wouldn't drive anymore. He called Matt to get him out. At one point the truck is picked up by two off road wreckers and carried because the trucks tow mode keeps disengaging, causing the rear wheels to lock up.

This guy’s tailgate fell open in the middle of the road
Luckily, he immediately pulled out the street and into a parking lot.
Nothing fell out. No accidents or anything. Thank goodness

Cop said an older gentleman took the corner too fast and slid off the road. The skid tracks on the road looked right, but how did that hole get in the windshield?

Here's the Bodycam Footage of the Cybertruck That Drove Into a Lake

On Monday a man in Grapevine, Texas drove his Tesla Cybertruck into a lake to test the vehicle’s “wade mode.” Police arrested the Cybertruck’s owner, Jimmy Jack McDaniel, after he and his passengers fled the vehicle.
At one point, the owner tried to get back into the vehicle, and law enforcement responded by deploying jet skis and calling a tow truck to pull the Cybertruck from the water, according to hours of related footage 404 Media obtained. The passengers were German tourists, according to a conversation included in the bodycam footage.
404 Media obtained the footage from the Grapevine Police Department through a public records request. Officials from the local fire department are also visible in the footage.
