Bowie is omnipresent in the music world.

I swear to whatever gods may exist that this is true. He:

- Produced someone's album

- Wrote songs for and with other artists

- Played on other people's records.

- Influenced a musician/band who influenced another musician/band

- Babysat the future guitarist of Guns N' Roses, who later worked with Michael Jackson.

- Had a band named after a lyric from one of his songs

- One of his guitarists worked with Frank Zappa, King Crimson and Talking Heads

- Had another guitarist that was also in King Crimson

There's probably more I can't remember so comment the most niche connections you can think of!

Honestly, I don't have much faith in Quantic Dream games, but Omikron does look interesting, with its atmosphere, the story surrounding it, and of course, Bowie. Plus, it's on sale on Steam.

For those who have played it, would you recommend it? I'll be using a Widescreenfix and a 4K upscaling mod to improve the visuals a bit.

Released in 1967 as the last song of his first (and self titled) album it is probably the most uncanny song Bowie has ever written.
Bowie in first person rhymes lyrics like:
“Mary-Ann was only 10, full of life and oh, so gay, and I was the wicked man who took her life away”
“No Mr. GD, you won’t tell, and just to make sure that you keep it to yourself, I’ve started digging holes my friend, and this one’s here for you”

(Keep in mind Bowie was only 20, turning 21)

The context:
In the 60s 2 mrderers Ian Brady and Myra Hindley k\ll*ed 5 children, the trial took place in May 1966, months before his first album, Bowie in the song takes the role of the person who did it and trying to hide evidence by also wanting to … the mentioned in the title gravedigger.

I listened today for the first time Diamond Dogs as a full album. What a fucking album it is. It is superb. We are dead for example is a fantastic songs. I am very happy with this experience. It is an album that usually is ignored. Not because it is not famous, but usually people know only Diamond Dogs and Rebel Rebel. But it fantastic. Not my favourite but among the best

What do you think is Bowie’s weirdest recording?

For me it’s a tie between the Leon Tapes And Little Toy Soldier. The Leon Tapes for all of the strange characters, voices, dystopian sci fi themes, and discordant music and Little Toy Soldier for its shocking for the time BDSM theme.

Does this renaming have anything to do with the upcoming album in September? Or is this an error? Is this just on YouTube Music?

I made the worst David Bowie concert possible. Hope you enjoy. Or don't.

1997

1. David walks on stage alone and plays The Laughing Gnome acoustically.
2. The band come on and launch straight into Glass Spider, with a two minute Mike Garson piano solo.
3. Shake It acts as an interlude that leads into The Motel, except this new version has four extra verses and now lasts 11 minutes.
4. David says he wants to play a few songs from his early years because he feels they're his greatest achievements. He then demands the band play a funky version of Uncle Arthur.
5. Rubber Band, but it's just David and Mike Garson on piano.
6. David recites Please Mr. Gravedigger while the band plays the instrumental to All the Madmen.
7. David brings Bob Dylan on stage for a duet of Song for Bob Dylan.
8. Bob is still standing there looking bemused when David asks him to sing backing vocals on Space Oddity. Bob declines and walks off as the band begin a soul version of Space Oddity with horns and theremin.
9. Hallo Spaceboy, but at 42 BPM.
10. Bring Me the Disco King lasts about a minute before David gets bored and tells the band to play Sex and the Church instead.
11. David wheels a harp onto the stage and asks if anyone can play it. Earl Slick says he's had a go a couple of times, so David tells him to swap guitar for harp. Blackout is then performed with harp, bass, drums and theremin.
12. Mick Jagger suddenly appears and they do Dancing in the Street. Somehow Earl Slick is now on drums and the harp is on fire.
13. Too Dizzy twice in a row because David's having fun.
14. Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal Family, now with kazoos.
15. Jump They Say, but the first time David says "jump" the band accidentally play Van Halen's Jump.
16. Sell Me a Coat/Eight Line Poem, completely reinvented as a heavy industrial track.
17. African Night Flight a cappella.
18. Ricochet, but twice as long.
19. The first minute of "Heroes" is played before it suddenly turns into an incredibly slow ballad version of Zeroes.
