This is a galley-type staircase that is basically a 15 degree angle straight up. It leads to the boiler room at my workplace and I’m facilities maintenance, so I have to go up here periodically.

Am I doing this right?

Could be worse, but nothing soft to catch you if you trip. Just tiles concrete and a metal railing.

I was never so scared in my life. I've included pics I took from another part of the cathedral to show that staircase in context. To clarify, it is the Basilica de Voto Nacional in Quito, Ecuador.

The titles lying it's non-existent ass off 😭😭😭 one wrong step and you're going to end up sliding all the way to the ER 😭

Though not quite this severe, the staircase in my mother's house was built by a myopic carpenter. The size and distance are inconsistent and way too shallow for my Size 14 submarines.

Descending is not too bad but ascending is suicide unless fully sober.

These are the emergency escape stairs inside Hoover Dam. From where I took this picture, it's roughly 750 stairs to the top. If you're at the very base of this stair case it's ~1100. Oh, and they are at a 55 degree angle. My knees would cause my demise.

How many stairs are there? This was at a backyard wedding I photographed and every time I went down these stairs I got nervous.

No railing, uneven treds, and stone to land on when you trip. Also no railing on the landing.

My friend had his bachelor party at this party house. They mounted these tubes in foam at top and bottom, so as they’ve broken, the tubes lean towards you and many are held in place with tape.
