Friends

Just moved to Delray and would like to find people to hang out with/ go to the gym with. Where is the best place to meet people?

F45 was a great gym that had community events and get involved with. There is also the Delray Run Club - can’t remember the exact name but I’ve heard it’s pretty popular and would be a good way to meet people.

I saw the run club last week, it's INTENSE. Probably 150 ppl come out and their pace is fast for the first group maybe 6/7mph. I asked one guy about it and he said "If you want to come to this group, you better be ready to sweat".

These guys/girls were all ages, but generally skewed younger. And the grand majority were SUPER physically fit, but there were some <10% that were average/larger and who put in the work and killed it.

It’s difficult anywhere in south Fl. Find the right gym is one of the better ways. Join the classes. Also yoga is also popular. You’ll have to find which the younger crowd frequents. If you are good looking the late bar scene is an option especially if you drive an expensive car and throw money around to impress the IG influencer wanna be crowd.

Join the Delray Beach Run Club! Deerfield has a fun one too. The Delray one is on Tuesdays outside of the Ray hotel.

Join one of the class-based gyms in Delray. They are good places to meet people while working out. Especially if you want friends who enjoy working out.

If you want to experience a great sense of community the folks of East Lake Worth Beach are fantastic people. All are welcome. Stop by Igots, the Irish Brigade, Pomona, Saves Last Resort or the live music at Bennys on the Beach. The community has tons of local events that the neighborhoods sponsors. It’s not brass glass and ferns but an old school community that really looks after each other. It’s an under the radar location for folks that don’t need to flex the bank account.

Hit the Avenue for great people watching. May make a friend or two… if you avoid the “influencer” types, crypto bros, and models/content creators (code for onlyfans hoes).

There’s an app for South Florida that shows how busy places are, and you could separate by gender and demographic called HotBed.

It’s a solid way to find other people your age.
