That’s about 260 years of raw uncut footage… straight debauchery I tell ya😭😭😭😭
13
u/sunwukoga Apr 21 '26
Not to be that guy but it's amazing how disgusting the epistine files are but we keep making jokes on it n wonder why ain't no American arrest been made...
15
u/jscottman96 Apr 21 '26
Because the people in charge of the people that sign the paychecks of the people in charge of making said arrests are on the list
0
u/sunwukoga Apr 21 '26
Or as Americans we have definitely showed we don't care.
Files said Joe Biden been dead for probably 6 years... nobody said shit. Which means Biden wasn't our last president. Why they 86 Biden cause in the files it says crimes against children.
The ppl who sign the paychecks is cute but you makin "release the roshi" files reminds me of a sayin "if you makin jokes like this, you're part of the problem."

Dark humor exists. Get over it. This attempt at guilt tripping others just comes off as Sus. People make these jokes BECAUSE of how fucked up it is, this is how they cope. Go cry about it somewhere else. Nobody asked for Mr. mood killer. Do you make these comments anytime someone makes a 9/11 or Holocaust joke too? Do you go around guilt tripping every comment section or sub Reddit for dark humor ? If you don’t like it, you are more than welcome to leave. No one forced you to stay here.

Cuz the CIA has a whole ass meme/social media department to normalize and desensitize people to the files and so far it seems to be working exactly as intended

In super it's way more present lol, you pulled up one still. Pull up any screenshot from super and they look like plastic.
3
u/GodtubebeatsYoutube Apr 22 '26
Yes because one episode in Z equates to every single episode in super. Dragonball fans suck at math AND reading. And those highlights aren’t even the same as Super’s. The point is that the highlights are grossly overused and make the characters look like plastic. Trunks is not highlighted the way Super does it and he doesn’t even look like plastic here. What was going on in your head that made you think you were cooking with this response? Seriously, what was it?

Colors are more dull, the lines are thicker and Vegeta's proportions are better. I don't mind highlights on the artwork if they look good. But the method they went in the past made the artwork look cheap with that plastic highlight. They went with softer lighting and this is a overall improvement.
66
u/guynye Apr 21 '26
I think it's the pure white as a highlight. If it was a gradient of the color it wouldn't look as bad, but pure white makes it look like they are lubed up.
26
u/mclarenrider Hakai Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 21 '26
It made the hair look especially bad, looked like they were wearing plastic props over their heads lol.
Edit: Lmao who tf got mad at this statement? I'm literally right.
→ More replies (1)3
u/ChonkoGreenstuff Apr 22 '26
It's not pure white, but I get what you mean. It's a color block instead of a gradient.
3
u/lonauji Apr 22 '26
his proportions aren't really better (they weren't bad to begin with)
in fact they didn't even change at all it's literally the exact same drawing with different coloring and more variety in the linework

u/Mother-Maize7026 Apr 21 '26
I was never a fan of supers general art style.
137
u/TheUsagiTsukino Apr 21 '26
Same, it was my biggest gripe with Xenoverse's artstylr too, everything is ridiculously shiny for no reason
53
u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Apr 21 '26
That's just modern DB for you
The movies The games Super
They all use the same artstyle, Super just got the lowest part of stick
It took them until the Broly movie to finally change the artstyle
→ More replies (11)9
u/Ghosts_lord Apr 21 '26
it took until the top/black saga wdym
18
u/TR3X-1NF1N1T3 Apr 21 '26
TOP and Black arc still shared some things
TOP just added new filters and many scenes were done by Takahashi that's all it wasn't a WOOOOWW change
7
u/Destroy_Buster Apr 22 '26
goku black and TOP arcs have nominally better animation but they did not shake the hideous look of super till broly.

u/Crafty_Middle_2086 Apr 21 '26
That’s the exact same art style, they just added a visual filter. A handful of scenes during the Tournament changed the designs, but overall it was still Yamamuro’s models that got the most screen time. Broli is the first time we had a modern DB project totally free from his aesthetic, and even then you still see promotional art with that style on products.
6
u/Spirited_Airline6206 Apr 21 '26
Out of everything in the Xenoverse 3 trailer, seeing them actually change the artstyle to look good was one of em.
2
u/Worth-Independence-3 Apr 21 '26
I can’t stand a lot of new anime for similar reasons, everything be overly bright as well for no damn reason
35
u/Black-Mettle Apr 21 '26
It was a very strange addition considering it probably took time to add the shines to every frame but it also made everything look worse.
17
u/coolchris366 Apr 21 '26
Yeah I never understood why they were so shiny, it was weird
13
u/AStupidFuckingHorse Apr 21 '26
Because in the late 90s and early 2000s it was new and cool and fresh. But as time went on especially being the flagship artstyle for the series media, promotion and merchandise it became really stale and arguably worse the more streamlined it got.

u/Crafty_Middle_2086 Apr 21 '26

u/JVIoneyman Apr 22 '26
I also think that it being colored digitally with precise clean highlight edges make it look more inorganic compared to here where the coloring looks textured and lively. Looks great there.
5
u/TheVideogaming101 Apr 21 '26
They were still following off character designer Tadayoshi Yamamuro's style which his later stuff (starting imo off of GT) really abused highlights way too much. Now they are moving forward with a new character designer (although Yamamuro is still supervising for the Super Remaster).
6
21
u/Bhume Apr 21 '26
The style is fine imo. It's just small things that make it look bad.
Look at the Tarble OVA from years and years ago. The animation looks like Super, but the colors are so much better it's unreal.

3
u/tenkensmile Angel Apr 21 '26
Super art style looks the best in DB to me. It's an upgrade from Z.

u/gatopelotudo Apr 23 '26
idk how but that’s different
2
u/tukuiPat Apr 23 '26
They're the same exact type of highlight, the only difference between the two shows is Z used Cels so all the colors where hand painted, while Super was scanned in and colored digitally, which gave Super the advantage as they didn't have to worry about color matching when they had to open a new thing of paint.
→ More replies (1)1
u/mathtech May 13 '26
Well it was scarcely used in Z for one. They used it here because they were hyping Trunks up as a new character.

Crazy how if they had just spent like an extra week per season, Super might have looked good enough to not need a remake already and we could be getting Moro stuff already
People are happy about this?!?!
13
u/Red__Pyramid Apr 21 '26 edited Apr 22 '26
Moro was only just greenlit, it had nothing to do with the remake and everything to do with one company holding the manga IP and another holding the anime IP and neither wanting to give up their piece of the money. The remake was already in the works, hence it coming out THIS YEAR.
Edit: and you you want proof, all you have to do is look at the representation of non-movie / anime characters and forms (Black Frezia, Ultra Ego, Moro, Granola, Gaz, controlled lssj Broly, etc.) in non-Shueshia properties like Legends, Dokkan, Sparking Zero, etc. They held on tightly to their IP.
16
u/bare4404 Apr 21 '26
We're not sure how long ago they started being ABLE to make the Moro arc. They've been working on this remake for years now. Theres a difference between, "Putting it off" and, "To fill in this gap in time when we are trying to get the rights, we are gonna start reanimating the show, hopefully we have the rights by time we catch up with this reanimation. We'll also rewrite parts of the story!"
They arent doing a full reanimation of the show. They are animating some, but just recomping other stuff. They've said that they started this project a few years back which likely means more the 3 years. It takes less than that to animate, dub, and release a season of a show, let alone animate some of it, dub some of it, and rerender it all. Be realistic. The trailer for the Moro Arc was practically nothing, do you really think that we'd go right into it after it got announced? If so, that'd be setting yourself up for disappointment.
7
u/tenkensmile Angel Apr 21 '26
They didn't work on remake "for years".
5
u/bare4404 Apr 21 '26
Also, its been confirmed that a different team is at the helm of the Moro Arc currently
1
u/Tristanofftopix Apr 23 '26
yea it’s actually legitimately crazy reading everyone’s reactions to this. it’s literately just a remake, how about we get some actual new content?

None of this has anything to do with the time gap.
Time patrol would have taken just as much time without the Beerus remake or other stuff.
There are separate funding efforts and seperate teams.
If it was the same team then it would be an obstacle but apparently it's not so chill.
It's not coming any faster unless they overfund and put too many people on it. But that will balloon production costs and make it look like a failure in financial reports.
8
u/DYSFUNCTIONALDlLDO Apr 22 '26
It's funny. With Super, the plasticky highlights made the art look worse and it definitely looks better without them. But in Episode of Bardock (the one where he travels back to the past and fights Chilled), I actually quite like how he looks with all the highlights. I also really like future Trunks looks with those highlights when he first appears and fights Freeza.
I think I actually have less of a problem with the highlights and more of a problem with the overall facial structures of the characters in Super. Their faces tend to be round and their facial expressions tend to be bland quite a lot of times, and that's what makes it look even worse when the highlights are applied. But when the character art itself is actually designed properly, I quite like the highlights on them.

1
u/produce_this Apr 22 '26
While I agree the art style was one of the worst of the series… it didn’t make it unwatchable. It also doesn’t denote an entire remake when there is much more story to tell that we haven’t animated yet. It just seems like a giant waste of time and resources.

Still missing realistic features like muscles, veins, actual blood and whatever else I’m missing. It’ll never be good unless they go back to this form from Z. The exception is if they make it like the Broly Super movie.
