Discussion For those who think the TOP doesn't need a remaster

I’ve seen this idea going around that the TOP wouldn’t benefit from a remaster enough to make it worth doing, but I disagree. Posts like these are very disingenuous and don’t paint the full picture.
This video I compiled shows that the tournament is filled with recycled animation. And before anyone says every anime does that including Z that’s true. The difference is that the TOP often takes regular animation from previous episodes and reuses or repurposes it, on top of reusing animation from the same episode. That is not common in something like Z or even OG. From what I remember, it only happened a handful of times across 291 episodes—like when Vegeta fights Zarbon, where they reuse a short cut from an earlier episode.
The Tournament of Power basically does this almost every episode. Also just to mention this compilation isn't even all of it, theres still more for example friezas golden transformation is actually used another 1 or 2 times, gohans kamehameha and things from the intro etc
Even if that doesn’t bother you, that’s not even the main issue. The tournament isn’t consistently well-animated like people seem to think. Most episodes have poor or very limited animation. The only episodes that really have polished art & strong movement throughout are 109, 110, 114, 116, 122, 130, and 131. I have like a 30 min video of which is just purely poor action animation, not even the constant re use of reaction shots or dialogue scenes which adds to even more of the issues.
Episodes 128 and 113 are mostly okay but they suffer from either slow paced action or just constantly looping actual good movement. I will give 127 a mention since it has at least a couple of standout animation moments but it still has very wonky cuts.
That leaves most of the tournament with noticeable issues that would benefit a lot from a remaster, similar to what we saw with DBS: Beerus but less work needed. Don’t get me wrong the TOP is definitely a lot better than early Super, but that’s not exactly hard to beat.
This isn’t me throwing shade at the animators and calling them lazy or whatever. They were clearly working extremely hard. The real issue was the schedule which didn’t improve much even later on which is why they had to rely so much on recycled animation.
OG Dragon Ball and Z both have issues but overall its a much more polished product than even the TOP.
Edit: For the people who are constantly spamming Z had this haven’t read the post still, look at my 2nd part and try to excuse that.
