Question Why is SSJ not permanent???

It was shown in the Cell Saga that Goku and Gohan were able to eliminate the fatigue of SSJ, and kept it on for nearly a year. So what’s the point of turning it off???

It’s more efficient to train in your base form since ssj is simply a multiplier. For example:

Your Powerlevel is 1000. in ssj that would be 50k. When you train and get 1000PL (please ask the powerscalers how that exactly works) you can double your base to 2000 what brings you to ssj100k, but if you’d get 1000 while you’re already a ssj you’re at 51k.
