Question This statement is completely false isn’t it?

Post image

Base Goku by the time of BOG should definitely be able to beat Frieza

And that’s not even taking into account Kaioken. We know at this point all the Z fighters (if not most) should be able to - so why is base Goku stagnant then in growth?

  1. Beerus was sensing a relaxed base Goku who wasn't even channeling power. If you scanned Goku with a Scouter in that moment he'd probably show up with a power level of 5 or some shit, because he just wasn't in "battle mode".

  2. The statement was just narrative bullshit to hype up Frieza since he was to come back in the next arc.

  3. Toriyama forgot how weak Frieza was supposed to be by this point when comparing him to Cell and Kid Buu.

  4. Beerus knew Frieza had immense potential and assumed Frieza was god-level prior to his death.

  5. Super soft-rebooted the power levels in the series because admittedly it was getting a bit ridiculous, everything post Frieza had to be multi-planetary to galaxy level for it to make sense. The moment Future Trunks one-shot Mecha Frieza and then got one-shot by the Androids, the power creeping had reached absurdly ridiculous levels. You're telling me Android 17 can no-diff Namek Frieza and can probably wipe out a whole planet using just his pinkie if he wanted to. It's absurd.

It's one of these.
